Great location
Staff were great, location was great and close to Beale St. The only downer was the service in the bar. Bar opened at 4 pm, but we walked out at 4:15 due to no service.

Short walk from hotel
Be sure to visit Coyote Ugly's for drinks and entertainment. The Peabody is across from Holiday Inn, and was something to tour. They have the march of the ducks at 11 am and 5 pm every day.

Location, Location, Location
You're one block north of Beale Street and you have Rendevous BBQ in your back alley, it's hard to beat that for the price. For that, the hotel was noisey, they didn't offer continental breakfast and the elevators were slow, but for the price, what do you really expect? If you want all those things and the location, stay at the Peabody across the street for 4 times as much. The hotel staff was very helpful and tourist oriented, you can't say that for other Memphis hotels we've booked. If you are there for a bowl game, the city-run free bus to the Liberty bowl picks up in front of the hotel.

Good location
We were not very impressed with our experience at this hotel. We had arranged for a non-smoking, 2 queen beds room, but were disappointed to find they placed us in a smoking room with 2 double beds. The decor was a bit out dated, and the elevator to the parking garage did not work. We expected more for the price we paid for the room. The hotel did have some redeeming factors. It is within walking distance to nearby shops and clubs to enjoy good blues music. The attendant in the hotel club was very knowledgeable and helpful, for new people to the area, on places to go to get the most out of experiencing Memphis.

Great Location. Poor Room.
The staff was very friendly at check in and provided great tips for local hot spots. When we got up to our non smoking room, we were greated by the over whelming smell of marijuana. After spending some time in the room we quickly realized the air conditioning wasn't working. After calling down to the front desk the basically said we were out of luck and had to deal with it. The staff was still friendly but were absolutely no help. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the heart of Downtown and it was a great time. I feel that if we were given a different room I would be giving a 5 star rating, but the poor room condition and the staff unwilling to give us any other options ruined part of our vacation because we were truly uncomfortable for 2 days/nights.

Two blocks to the heart of downtown. Alcohol is legal on the streets in that area and all the bars offer large "Beers to go"

Really Good Option in Memphis!
Don't judge this hotel by its cover! From the moment I walked in I was impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone on staff here. The lobby looks a little outdated, but the rooms are lovely and clean with the granite countertops and lush bedding that travelers have come to expect in nicer hotels. I wish that the entire hotel was non-smoking, because although I was in a non-smoking room, at times there was a strong smell of smoke in the hall and the smell permeated my room somewhat too. Fortunately I'm not super-sensitive to it, so I'd say my overall experience at the hotel was very, very good. And you can't beat the location!

Budddies Beale St. Getaway
Went for Memphis in May Beale St. Music Festival. The concerts were great and Memphis is a fun town. The hotel was a let down. The prices were inflated for that weekend. It's as if the staff didn't really care about you. You were just a number and they were on the clock. We didn't have any shampoo in our room. We requested extra bedding and never got it. Some of the staff was friendly but overall, I have stayed in better places for 1/2 the price.

Decent Hotel
The good: Location is excellent. Only a few blocks from Beale Street, across from the Peabody and next door to baseball park; Rendevous ribs is in the alley below! The room and lobby were both very clean. The bedding was nice and clean (white duvet and lots of pillows). The manager's welcome event (not sure if this is always offered, or only at certain times) was also very nice. Free cocktails are always a plus! They also have Bath and Body Works toiletries. The bad: Breakfast and parking are not included. The "continental buffet" was approx. $7 a person and parking was $12 a day. There really aren't any other safe parking alternatives nearby, so that was a tough pill to swallow. Plus, the garage would fill up early, so unless you returned before dusk, you might not find a space. The ugly: The hotel is quite noisy because of the streets below. You could hear traffic rushing by at all hours and we were on the 4th floor away from the street, so I didn't expect it to be that noisy. They do provide ear plugs for you to wear, but that was just not comfortable. They really need to invest in better windows to cut down on noise intrusion. The internet connection within the room is virtually non-existent. They do have a very small "business center" in the lobby, so I guess we could have used the computer there, but we brought our laptop that we couldn't use because the internet was so slow. Overall: We were in town for the Liberty Bowl (go Knights!) and would consider this hotel again if our team returns. It is very convenient and clean and seems to have some of the better prices for downtown hotels, but I might ask for a room that is very high up to try to combat the street noise.

Comfortable - Convenient
It was very nice. Clean, clean, clean - which is a must for us. We really enjoyed our stay. We chose this location because we were in walking distance of the FedEx Forum this time. Next time we will choose it because of the hospitality of your employees. Everyone treated us so nice. Thanks for making our stay very enjoyable.
