Our hotel stay was good overall.I read other comments about the hotel before I made reservations I thought when we arrived we would stay in a hole in a wall. THe hotel is older and true the beds do not have bed skirts to hidethemattress is worn but we slept good and the bedding was clean. cleaning staff did a good job cleaning our room and gave us towels needed. Location of grocery store, walgreens,post office was great and plenty of eateries. I wasn't looking high price for looks but for comfort and safety and this hotel met our needs and the price of $62.00 each night on [...] was priced correct. Will stay again soon. Also our frige broke and the replace it within an hour. Yes we will stay again.I didn't visit memphis for downtown activites but to be with family.Milwaukee

This hotel is just fine. I read the reviews after booking my room, and decided to stay there anyway, because it was very convient for me. When I arrived, they didnt have a copy of my reservation, and they asked me to call [...] and have it faxed over. I thought that they should have taken care of that instead of asking me to, but whatever, I knew it was taken care of by doin it myself. The room was accidentally booked as a double, and I had reserved a single, but they did accomodate to me with no issue. The room was fine, just a hotel, nothing too fancy, but I knew that going in. If I expeted the Westin, i would have booked there. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. There wasnt an ironing board in the room, so I had to improvise, and the iron was very dirty and got black marks all over my clothes. I would stay there again, for the convience factor, but not because it was super fabulous. the lobby was nice, and I liked that they have a parking garage.

We came to Memphis for the Memphis Grizzlies game and to go on Beale, St. As far as the hotel, we had to stand at the door like 20 mins each time we went into the room beacause something was wrong with the door. We had maybe one clear channel on the television. Even the television seens 20 years old. This was a great trip but the rooms could have been better.

Let's just start with the great part: -the hotel lobby has a Great Gatsby feel to it which for me was fabulous; -awesome staff: they were super friendly and very accomodating to any of its guests' whims; -location is great: straight shot to downtown Memphis and you have Walgreens and Starbucks right across the street. As for the bad: -amenities were not up to par but i did a quick weekend visit so that didn't bother me as much That's it folks. Overall this hotel, for the price, is great!

For a business person who is not planning on staying more than a night or two with a car the location is acceptable. There are no eating facilities in the hotel but you can order in. Internet connections are inconvenient and limited. The hotel is being renovated and the old girl may again be brought back to her former beauty.

Ice on our floor not working. Room dirty on arrival. Toilet plugged.

dirty room, tv did not work, very loud...DO NOT STAY HERE for any reason!! When I checked out I told them how horrible it was, the staff said "we know it's bad, but I just work here"
