Good for Budget Conscious
This hotel is located 1/2 block away from Main Street where you can catch the trolly for Beale Street and other attractions. The trolly didn't run as promptly as advertised, but it does run. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly, but it's dated and worn. Compared to others in the area - the location is just as good and the price reflects the current condition.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Catch the trolly to Beale Street and dine at Blues City Cafe - best catfish ever! Ribs great too, but not dry rub. Also, first weekend of May is Beale Street Music Festival. This is a great time to go if you love the blues!

Business
Nice place to stay if you have business in town. Easy to get to from airport, plenty of attractions within walking distance. Staff was nice, room adequate, free wireless internet was nice and complimentary breakfast was above average.

One night stay
we stayed only one night and the hotel was a good deal for downtown Memphis. The room was nice but nothing special. We had a great view of the bridge and pyramid from our room which was beautiful at night. Some of the staff were not friendly, did not say a word while we rode 6 floors on the elevator but instead talked to each other about how much they hated their job. Overall, it was a good experience.

Much needed weekend getaway
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was neat. AC unit was a little sporadic, but not that bad. Breakfast was great. The only problem wasn't really with the hotel, just the location. Pan handling in Memphis is getting to be an epidemic. If you want to take an evening stroll, or even a walk during the day, you're going to get hit up about every other block. Keep to the trolleys or drive.

Entertainment tip:
Long walk from hotel
Beale Street entertainment is fantastic. Take some one dollar bills to tip the bands. Drinks are high along the strip, so if you're on a budget, take a water bottle or plastic bottled soda. You can hear many from the street. During the day, a few places, like BB Kings, will let you walk around inside without a cover charge and listen to the band. Sunday afternoons are good for that. And take the trolley to Beale. parking is thin and panhandling is out of control

Good location
The hotel is in a good position to visit Memphis on foot. It has some rooms without windows so, when booking, check that you are selecting a room with a view. In my case, the first room was without windows but as I asked I was moved to a room on 14th floor, with a nice window!

Great hotel!
We went to the Redbirds game, then went to Beale Street after the that. The hotel was a perfect location - we walked everywhere, but the trolley was available, too. The room was very large and comfortable. I LOVED the pillows! We went to the Ninth floor where the pool is and the view of the river was great. Really nice hotel.
