could be better
This was my second stay here, and really, just because they have big LCD TV's that I can HDMI my laptop into. You really need that because they only have about 30 channels. The rooms smell like they are trying to hide the dirt instead of actually cleaning the dirt. The beds are comfortable enough, and they do look/smell/feel clean. They have a lot of pillows, which is also a plus. I still don't know where the ice machine is--there should be something in the room that shows the vending and ice machines, but I couldn't find it. The refrigerator was dirty, but not bad. everything was clean enough for me to stay, but not clean enough for me not to wonder if they'd actually cleaned between guests. I think I had the room just next to the housekeeping closet, because there was a constant train of very loud carts going by my room, and usually loud discussions. overall, not bad, but not good either.

Nice Stay
This is a nice hotel especially if you want something with places in walking distance like restaurants. It was awesome for just sleeping. The coffee could have been better in the room but what are you gonna do LOL

works for an overnight stay
This is certainly not a bad motel, it just isn't really a place you want to spend too much time in. The air conditioner in my room was a problem. I am a light sleeper, and like a cold room, but the air conditioner couldn't handle being on all day on high, and after putting it on low, i was awaken everytime the AC went on and off. But I like it really cold, so most people would have been comfortable, I'm sure. The location is a little difficult because of the traffic, but it is surpisingly quiet for being practically under the interstate. only around 40 channels on TV, but the TV was nice and you have free in room wifi, so that was great. Overall, for another overnight trip, I would stay again.

Don't take Cedar Bluff from Kingston Pike to get to the hotel--the lights last forever and the traffic is horrible. Take Peters Road from Kingston Pike, and you won't have to turn against the traffic.

Good Location
Hotel is in a great location, very close to the west town mall and lots of shops & restaurants. Lobby and exterior were nice. Room was very roomy except for the tiny bathroom. When we walked in and closed the door, there was a empty box of microwave popcorn and a bag of trash behind the door that had not been removed from the last guest. Also the floor had not been vacuumed because the popcorn kernels were in various places on the carpet. When I went to take a shower, the used soap was still in the tub, yuck! So I don't guess the bathroom was properly cleaned either. There was free wi-fi even though it was very slow. They are in process of upgrading to new flat screen tv's, but had not made it to our room yet. Bed was comfy, but I had to wonder if it had been properly cleaned. Not much noise from the highway, pretty quiet. If housekeeping would have done a better job on our room, it would have been an excellent experience.

Clean but nothing special
Hotel was near a busy interstate so I would request a room opposite the interstate next time. The room was a bit outdated but at least it was clean. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. I would probably choose a different hotel next time.

Great for a quick stop
The room was basic but the cleanest room we had on our road trip. Beds were comfortable, tv was older and a bit staticy. They skimped on the towels and the tub had a little bit of a leak. But with its proximity to the I-75 and its cleanliness it was perfect for the price.

Stayed overnight. Nice to know that, unlike others, La Quinta does NOT rip you off with hidden charges like Internet & parking. These were both free. We hope they will keep it that way. Our room #228 was very clean. Breakfast was excellent, except for the same plain watery concoction they call coffee. I wish all those hotels would someday rise above serving the tasteless garbage they, like all fast food places, try to pass as coffee everywhere. Other than that, a nice experience. Big choice of restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely choose La Quinta again next time.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
Travellers should always check for hidden (Internet and parking ) charges before booking. Wherever possible, we avoid hotels that resort to these disgraceful penny-pinching tactics.
