terrible experience
Holiday Hotel was bought out by Royal Inn. My reservations with [...] was not transferable and I paid an outragous rate for a terrible room. Will never stay there again.

Did not request adjoining rooms, but received anyway, and listened to our neighbors from 2-3:00 AM! Old, in need of rehab, broken door handle cut my kids arm.

Good location
Trip to Knoxville was to visit historic places for school project. Hotel was convenient but very dimly lit at night and the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was $10 person in hotel restaurant and most hotels now have free continental breakfast. Would choose different hotel for same price next trip.

Staff were cooperative and helpful, room was clean but even though it was a non-smoking floor and room the neighboring room (double door between rooms)had smokers in it and I had to put a towel under the door to stop the smell. It was too late in the night to change rooms! Have had equally clean and cooperative stays without smoke at cheaper no-frils motels that include breakfast. It was fine for a quick overnight but wouldn't take my whole family there for an entire weekend.

not the best place I evey stayed
Room was not stocked properly with towles, and other stuff like shampoo and soap. Had to go to front desk dailey for enough towles. Upon check out at 4am I left my cell phone in room. When I called to have them check, they said they went to room and no phone was found. Next day we called housekeeping they said no phone reported, at that time. Later that same day phone was found by housekeeping. Manager of housekeeping said she would mail at our expense. The nex day called and she had not mailed phone. We called a friend in Knoxville to pick phone up at desk, informed hotel would be there at 6pm to pick up phone and had to wait another 20 min for phone to be brought to desk. Left me felling as if someone was going to steel my cell phone.

This hotel needs updating the rooms are old and just feel dirty. The elevator rug is ripping and dirty.
