Stay in one of Knoxville, Tennessee's best known hotels
The central location of the Crowne Plaza Knoxville Downtown University Hotel makes this an ideal retreat for travelers as well as business professionals. Crowne Plaza is the site of the University of Tennessee's Volunteers and the 1982 World Fair. Guests walk along the strip and visit the bustling Market Square, Old City, the Sunsphere Tower and the University of Tennessee campus. Extended weekend @ UT
No problems. Clean, roomy, convenient. TV reception could be better. Housekeeping staff excellent.

Great time!
This hotel is within walking distance of Gay St. and Market Square. It is well-run. The workout gym is large with 2 floors, one with cardio equipment and the other with weight, both machines and free weights. There's an indoor pool also. Room was clean. No complaints, and the price was right, too!!

One night
This Crowne Plaza hotel in Knoxville TN was average at best. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. Lobby was pleasant and clean. Parking was not so much a pleasure. One time charge of $6 for self parking or $8 for valet. Parking garage was very tight, dark, and didn't feel safe and secure. Didn't eat the food but pictures looked well enough. Full bar. Starbucks. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom had issues. Part of mirror falling off, cracked tub, loose faucet handles, and shower head was at a very low height. All in all, not a bad visit but not a great one either.

Great Location, Inexpensive place 2 stay
Went to the Strip Went to Market Square Enjoyed having friends over at the hotel This trip was really good. The downside was paying for parking. But, the hotel is walking distance from the Old City and Market Square, as well as the Strip if you have comfortable shoes. We took inexpensive cabs to the strip at night to visit our friends. This hotel is comparable to the Hilton which is slightly closer to the World's Fair Park, but the Crown Plaza was less expensive and therefore I would choose to stay there over the Hilton next time I visit Knoxville.

Crowne Plaza is amazing
