Stay in one of Knoxville, Tennessee's best known hotels
The central location of the Crowne Plaza Knoxville Downtown University Hotel makes this an ideal retreat for travelers as well as business professionals. Crowne Plaza is the site of the University of Tennessee's Volunteers and the 1982 World Fair. Guests walk along the strip and visit the bustling Market Square, Old City, the Sunsphere Tower and the University of Tennessee campus. The hotel is located close to lots of good restaurants and sites, so we could walk and not need the car as much.

The hotel was nice, but bed slept terrible! Cable wasn't working for hours with no apology from staff.

Quick Business Trip
Fantastic hotel. Very comfortable. Beautiful lobby and restaurants. Very helpful staff and easy to get to off the highway. Superb bar and grill and the staff there!!!! I highly recommend this hotel.

Good Location, Excellent Staff, Some Facilities Gaps
We were guests for a week in the middle of the hottest period in Knoxville in over 100 years, so that did stress the hotel. The staff was exemplary in their responsiveness and courtesy. We had several issues, including a non-draining shower, slow internet, and missed wake-up call. All of which were addressed quickly including a free night stay for the missed call. The restaurant food is below average and pricey, so I would avoid. There are excellent restaurants in the Market Sq. nearby. The bed was comfortable with good linens and pillows and housekeeping was obliging with extra towels from heat induced multiple showers. The gym is very well equiped and the pool nicely maintained. We would consider staying again on our next trip to Knoxville

Business visit to UT-K
Good location--fairly convenient to UT-K campus and very convenient to downtown/Market Square; nicely appointed, comfortable room; free wireless internet access in the room was a plus; and ribeye steak dinner in the hotel restaurant was superb!

Extended weekend @ UT
