The 70-acre Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort and Spa looks more like a rustic mountain lodge than a hotel. Most of the suites come with riverside or mountain views, along with full kitchens. The adjacent Wild Bear Falls water park has a lazy river, slides and plenty of kid-centric fun. Barbecue is on the menu at the on-site Westgate Smokehouse Grill, and appetizers and drinks are served at the Mason Jar Lounge. There is a full spa.

The Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort and Spa is near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Trolley service takes guests from the resort to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to see such sites as Dollywood and Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies.

Dining

The seasonal Westgate Smokehouse Grill has a focus on Southern cuisine such as St. Louis-style ribs and is open for breakfast and dinner. The adjacent Mason Jar Lounge serves appetizers and drinks at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort and Spa.

Awesome getaway with the Hubby

Would recommend Sat, Feb 6, 2016
I must say I truly enjoyed my stay at Westgates in Gatlinburg. From the time we pulled up the staff was friendly and ready to answer our questions. The gentlemen at check in upgraded us to a beautiful suite on the very top of the mountain. The rooms was amazing. The breakfast and dinner was amazing. I'm ready to come back. Me and the hubby can't stop talking about it.

Won't stay here again

It's Very dated and overpriced. Early nineties in appearance, had a weird smell. Sticky around the edges, amenities difficult to obtain.

Never again

Would not recommend Thu, Nov 5, 2015
I may be the only one who had a horrible experience. The room was a dungeon. Only view from a window was a block retaining wall 10 feet away, the queen bed was against the corner walls, the fridge leaked, had to drive to a spot to sit outside, got a 1/4 inch glass splinter in my foot from the carpet, then got invaded by 10 or so staff members. They would not move me to another room, just gave me $25 to their restaurant for the inconvenience (they served powdered eggs for breakfast-yuck).

great trip

Would recommend Thu, Sep 10, 2015
This was our first stay at a Westgate hotel. We were just in the Gatlinburg area for 2 days and one night. We had a studio up on the mountain with a great view. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner and it was good. The only complaint was that breakfast was not included. I Would definitely recommend it to families with all the kids activities going on. We will definitely me back!

Great Smoky Westgate!

Would recommend Thu, Jul 2, 2015
Westgate provided a great summer getaway in Gatlinburg, away from the hustle and bustle of tourism, but close enough to jump right in the mix within 15 minutes! The amenities were awesome for the grandkids and the views are spectacular! We were high enough and close enough to enjoy Dollywood's nightly summer fireworks display. On sight water park, miniature golf, arcade and activities center made it a vacation unto itself for the kids. Fine food appeals to every age.

Great overnight stay

Would recommend Sat, May 30, 2015
My family and I only stayed one night at Westgate Resort while passing through the area, but I'm 100 sure we will be returning for an extended stay very soon. Excellent service and amenities that rival much more expensive locations!
