Rustic mountain resort with splashy amenities
The 70-acre Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort and Spa looks more like a rustic mountain lodge than a hotel. Most of the suites come with riverside or mountain views, along with full kitchens. The adjacent Wild Bear Falls water park has a lazy river, slides and plenty of kid-centric fun. Barbecue is on the menu at the on-site Westgate Smokehouse Grill, and appetizers and drinks are served at the Mason Jar Lounge. There is a full spa.
Highlights
  • Suites have views and full kitchens and some have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs
  • Adjacent water park with lazy river and slides
  • Full spa offers hot stone massages, manicures, pedicures and facials

very family friendly, beautiful location

The cabin was excellent. The kitchen was very large and spacious. There was a separate vanity with sink. The cabin had 2 bathrooms. The ameneties were excellent. Very comfortable beds with mattress pillow top. The cabin had a very lovely gas fireplace. The deck was very large to either drink tea in the morning or have dinner in the evening.

Weekend getaway

This is a great weekend getaway location. The nearby attractions are very middle America, the scenery is spectacular and there are some great walks. The resort itself was spotless and service was impeccable. The on-site restaurants weren't great - our only minor complaint. But then, if you want a gourmet meal, don't go to Gatlinburg!

Very family oriented

The Westgate Smokey Moutain Resort was beyond my expectations. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The suite my husband and I stayed in was impeccable. The fireplace was a nice touch. We enjoyed having our own balcony where we could sit and enjoy the beautiful views. We enjoyed the fitness and pool areas and although we were visiting without our children it was evident how family oriented this resort is. We would definitely bring our family here for a vacation. We had a short drive to unlimited dining options. The only thing I would change is for the resort to be in walking distance to the town of Gatlinburg. Although it is a short drive, paying 5 or 10 dollars every time you go to town for parking is inconvenient. Overall, the postives definitely outweigh any minor inconveniences. I would highly recommend this resort. Our kids would have loved the indoor water park!

The best place for breakfast in Gatlinburg is the Pancake Pantry. Get there early or the line will be down the sidewalk. For Dinner we recommend Bennett's BBQ or No Way Jose's Cantina. Both reasonably priced and great food!

Southern Comfort at it's best

The Westgate Smoky mountain Resort was a wonderful experience for us on our honeymoon. The staff was superb. Everyone was so friendly. They had an Indoor Waterpark, A Playground, an Outdoor Pool, Balconies on most of the Suites and security staff on duty 24/7. We were very pleased with the accomidations there. Everything was clean and neat inside and out. The location was perfect for us, So quiet and secluded yet only one mile from all the attractions of Gatlinburg and about three miles from Pigeon Forge so for us it was kind of the best of both worlds. I would highly recomend The Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort to anyone visiting that area and I promise that you wont regret it.

WOW!!!!!

Too good to be true!! This place feels like home. I hate to travel, only to stay in an uncomfortable room with funny smells and simply bad taste in decor. You will not find that here at the Westgate. This place is great! I have been to Gatlinburg a dozen times and I have never stayed somewhere this nice at such a reasonable rate. You will not be disappointed. This was the best trip ever to Gatlinburg. Such a relief knowing I could go back to the room and feel comfortable. We will be selecting Westgate again.

Very nice for price

At first it was a little hard to find the place if you weren't looking really hard, but when we found it, the hotel was breathtaking. The scenery was amazing and the staff was very friendly. They even had to deal with a very rude lady ahead of us and they were very pleasant with her and even better with us. :) The room was bigger than I thought it would be, and it had a kitchen set up complete with dishes and everything there to make a meal. The shower was huge and would have loved to take it home with me. All in all, a very wonderful stay. Would stay again.

More than I expected

It was just a two day get away but it was a good time. The room was warm and cozy and we were in it most of the time. The room had everything we needed but it wasn't just a room. It had a living room with a fire place, a bed room with a jucuzzi, and two bath rooms. We had a good time for the the money.
