Customer Service!

We checked in right on time and the staff wasvery wonderful. The value was nothing less than perfect. Clean room, clean hotel, clean pools, clean everything. The location was nice and easily within a a very short distance to anything downtown. I have been to the area many times over the years and this has to be the best bang for my buck I ever had while visiting the area.

Perfect for our trip.

My cousin and I stayed here for my 21st birthday trip. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Anything we needed help with they pulled the strings or gave us the number to the right people :) It's also in walking distance of a trolley stop and downtown. When we go back, we will be staying here again.

Great for family on a Budget

Some things needed an update, furniture and such was kind of dated but clean and in good condition. The indoor pool area and pool are very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Not a bad stay and very reasonable to be so close to the parkway.

Great for the price. Kids loved it!

Was skeptical at first due to bad reviews on here. However, we were extremely surprised when we got there. A little outdated, not bad. That's why the price is lower though... Clean room, awesome pool, hot tub, sauna, children's 2ft pool. Great view of the creek, very relaxing! Plenty of parking! Far enough from town you don't have to deal with all the traffic but still walking distance! Would make it better if they had free continental breakfast. But they do have a cafe you can order from. Definitely will be coming back!

Traveller who finds worst hotel... DON"T GO HERE

DO NOT go to this disgusting hotel. I consider myself a low maintenance person when it comes to hotels and motels, but I do expect it to be not only as advertised but also clean and professional. It is advertised as being a decently priced hotel with hot tubs and fireplaces in the rooms. We walked in to our room to be slapped in the face by the smell of a dirty gas station bathroom. The air freshener was overpowering. It smelled like a cheap toilet bowl cleaner. At first we opened the windows and the balcony door so we could turn off the heater to get rid of the smell. Our plan was to heat the room with the fireplace that ended up not even working. The carpet was nasty and I was afraid to even look into the sheets. The bathroom was tiny and the bathtub had some sort of brown film all around the floor. The paint was peeling off at some places in the room and bathroom. Once we discovered this we went to see what the pool, hot tub, and sauna had to offer. I will usually get into a pool even if it is slightly questionable, but I would not even touch the water in that pool let alone take off my shoes to get in. I could barely see the bottom due to cloudiness, hair floating around, and other debris of questionable origin. It looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in a year. I didn't get to see the sauna, because you have to check out a key to get into it. I assume this was the place to go in the 70's but it is time for a renovation and a deep clean. We ended up asking for a refund. We were pleasantly surprised that they refunded our whole bill without any argument at all. We were very thankful for that. The Hilton Hotel Park Vista was on the top of the hill above Sidney James and for a similar price with EXCEPTIONAL service, amenities, and facilities, I would recommend going to the Hilton.

Fun Family Getaway

My family and I really enjoyed our trip to Tennessee, we were in walking distance of the strip with tons of different things to do. Our room was nice, it had extra room and a balacony. The only thing I would have changed, is to have a microwave in the room. The workers were really nice and upgraded us for free. Overall it was a fun trip!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

Its a great location but the staff gave horrible directions to the room took 15 minutes to find the room hidden under the hotel, the room was molded, the shower ceiling was browned and the tiles were cracked, when we turned the water on to wash the babies bottle rusted brown water came out, the fridge had a half drank bottle of frozen gatoraide in the freezer, at night we could hear babies crying several doors down because the walls were soo thin, this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and we take several trips every year!!!!!! We will not be using this hotel EVER again the only good thing about it was that the creek was so close to the balcony that it helped drown out the sound of the extremely loud neighbors!!!!!!

A great "base camp"

We stayed on the creekside with a balcony over the water. The sound of water was incredibly peaceful. The hotel is a bit dated; however, it was clean, had a large, new tv, and a mini-fridge & coffee maker. It was perfect for us because we were "camping" out of the hotel room. We were fifteen minutes from rainbow and grotto falls (less than five minutes from the hotel into that portion of the park). It is a few blocks to the main shops/food in Gatlinburg, but we were there for the park and didn't mind walking at night. My only true complaint is that parking is TIGHT.

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

Alot of shops to walk to and the walk really isn't a bad walk at all! We enjoyed the exercise each day walking down to shop and eat and back up the hill each night!
