run down and dirty
The bathtub and shower was dirty. There was soap scum in the tub and hair in the shower and on the sink vanity. The comforter was stained and the carpet was coming up. I was so disgusted that I didn’t even want to check out breakfast. Also, there is not someone at the front desk at all times to take care of issues. The next morning when I brought up the issues the woman said there was nothing they could do for me. Also, to get to the main street, you have to cross through a parking lot and a dark parking garage. I will not ever stay again. It’s priced cheap for a reason.

This hotel is just right!
Im a 22 year old female who went to gatlinburg with my boyfriend and another couple. When I booked the hotel, I read the reviews on here and was a little skeptical about the place but when I got there I was relieved that it wasn't what it was made out to be. Yes, it is an older motel but it was clean and cozy. The rooms were very nice with granite countertops and an extremely comfy bed! The ice maker was out of service but the staff gave us huge bags to make up for it. The location is great too... Close enough to walk to the strip yet not quite in the hustle and bustle of things. We were very satisfied with our stay... We don't need anything fancy and ritzy, this was perfect for our taste.

Great Location
We have stayed at this hotel before. It is a good price for the area. Our room was clean and the staff has always been friendly. This is an older hotel, but we like it because of its location on River Road. Close to the main road, but still quiet. Originally when we booked, we were told we would have to switch rooms for the 2nd night - because we waited so late to make our reservation. Not exactly what we wanted, but not the hotel's fault. But, after we arrived, we found out the hotel had a cancellation and they had automatically put us in the King for both nights as requested.

Gatlin getaway
Stay was enjoyable. Location and price was excellent. I read prior reviews and they were dead on target. Rooms are clean and basic. I spent the extra few bucks for a fireplace. The family loved that. Heard the garbage trucks at 5AM. Breakfast is basic: oatmeal, cereal, begals, and donuts, milk, juice and coffee. Its a 2.5 star hotel, good value and we would stay there again.

Quite - Good Location
Very Quite but room could use some up dates. In walking distances to downtown Gatlinburg. Lodge is located across the street from a sidewalk that runs by a creek/stream - takes you to downtown Gatinburg. We parked our car and walked everywhere. The weather was great and leaves were changing colors.
