Very family friendly
We enjoyed the warm fireplace in the room and the view off the balcony. The rooms are large but in much need of an update. The location was very good to shops and dinning and a few attractions. The front desk staff were very friendly and accomondating.

The trolley's were very convienent and a time saver. Shopping and dinning was within a comfortable walking distance to hotel. Not as much entertainment near this hotel as there is in Pigeon Forge but didn't want it anyway.

good location nice place
It is a short walk to Flap Jacks for pancakes and a short walk the opposite direction to all the sights in downtown Gatlinburg. In heavy traffic it is a pain to turn left exiting the hotel toward Pigeon Forge. The hotel was in decent shape, though the elevator was out the first day. The snack breakfast is so so, but you can make your own waffles. The room was a little thin as far as sound as our room had adjoing doors to the other rooms and you could hear sound through them. But I liked the price and the closeness to everything and it met my wife's criteria for cleaness. Would stay there again.

Good value for the money
Went with my 7 year old boy, and the place was a hit. An older hotel on the very North end of Gatlinburg. A long walk or trolley will get you where you want to go. Very large rooms. Older decor, but clean with a microwave, fridge, and a second sink. The pool area was very nice and they did a good job keeping up the property. They had a continental breakfast. Cereal and biscuits and gravy. However, no fruit or yogurt or bagels (they did have a loaf of white bread). A good value, large rooms, and nice pool. Overall a winner.

Great weekend getaway
The staff was very friendly and helpful; the room was very clean and well-maintained; I felt very comfortable, and at-home; the free breakfast was great, and made it very easy to adhere to my diabetic diet. The surroundings are very beautiful. I also liked the private balcony; it was very peaceful to sit while drinking my morning coffee. Though I did not use the pool or the hot tub during my stay, they were very clean and well-maintained. I would recommend Wildwood Inn to anyone!

Short drive from hotel
The aquarium is very nearby, and a wonderful place to take the kids, or just to learn about underwater creatures of all kinds! Ober Gatlinburg offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The drive over the mountain into Cherokee, NC, offers many beautiful scenic vistas of the Smokey Mountains.

If you want to see some unique shops, go outside of Gatlinburg to the Arts and Crafts section of town. It is a loop of road filled with various specialty shops.
