Very Friendly, Good Service

The Wildwood Inn in Gatlinburg is a good place to stay. The staff took care of everything and gave us several good tips on where to shop and eat. The rooms were very large. Especially liked the balcony and fireplace. It gave the room a comfortable feeling.

If you want to see some unique shops, go outside of Gatlinburg to the Arts and Crafts section of town. It is a loop of road filled with various specialty shops.

Just so-so

The price was good, but you get what you pay for. The room was average but clean. However, the walls are thin. The first night, we listened to our neighbors argue for hours. The second day/night, we could still hear conversations, even when they weren't yelling, and when they showered, it sounded like they were right in our bathroom. The door to the freezer was broken, so everything in our refrigerator froze. The location is great and convenient to the trolley stop and to walk through Gatlinburg. We could see the 4th of July fireworks from the balcony which was great.

Great vacation base

The Wildwood Inn in Gatlinburg, TN is a very comfortable place to stay with pool and hot tub. The rooms are large and some have fireplaces. The bathroom is seperate from the vanity area. The refrigerator and microwave are next to the sink area and has a nice countertop. The T.V. is enclosed in a wardrobe. Each room has a balcony which is very nice to sit on and enjoy the evening. The staff are friendly and always ready to accomodate you.

Very good price. Room was twice the size of a normal hotel room. Room was clean but hotel decor needs to be updated. Overall very happy with our stay.

My review of Wildwood Inn Gatlinburg

The Wildwood Inn was clean, but dated. The rooms and beds were comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains. All rooms had balconies with chairs and views. It was great to have a sink and vanity area seperate from the bathroom toilet/sink and shower. I also liked having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The continental breakfast was poor. There was very little choice: cereal, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and the staff did not keep up on stocking it. There was no fruit available, and there was a long line to use the one waffle iron.

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

The downtown area was about 3/4 mile from the hotel. There was also a trolley line available with a stop about one block away. It was definetly easier to walk or ride the trolley than to find parking downtown (which is generally expensive too).
