Pretty good
Overall it was a good place to stay. The location is great, right as you get into town. It's just really difficult to turn left onto the parkway when leaving. The room was pretty clean, not the classiest place but great for the price we paid. We could hear the tennants in the adjacent room at times but the tv tuned most of that out. Average complimentary breakfast. I love that it is a pet friendly hotel.

Vacation
Good deal for the money. Room was comfortable but we had to contact management for a knob on the air conditioning unit, but that was quickly replaced. Bathroom wall a little torn up from previous customer. Good breakfast and clean swimming pool.

GREAT rates, GREAT service, GREAT hotel!
We drove overnight to get to Gatlinburg. Needless to say, after breakfast, we were ready to rest for a little while, but it was only 10:30AM. I figured the woman at the front desk MIGHT let us in by noon, but she said we were welcome to have our room right then. MUCH APPRECIATED! The rooms are very large. We had two queen beds, a fireplace, a balcony, a spacious bathroom, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and good air conditioning! The hotel has a nice-sized pool and breakfast in the mornings. There is a trolley stop in front of the hotel that will take you all throughout Gatlinburg for 50-cents each ride, or $2 per day. The rates at this hotel are unbeatable, especially when you consider the quality!

"You get what you pay for"
We got this room on a Saturday night in June for 49.99 so I knew that it was not going to be the Waldorf Astoria. I knew the hotel was really old and I was ok with that, but an old hotel that is dirty and in need of repair is a different story. We asked for a non smoking room and the first room they gave us reeked of smoke. We pulled back the cover to check the bed and there was a hair on the pillow. We went to the front desk and asked to be moved. We were given another room. It did not smell of smoke but when we turned down the bed there were hairs in it. I would have like to have cancelled the room and moved to another hotel but we could'nt so I asked for clean sheets and I changed the beds myself. The elevator was very slow and later that afternoon it completely quit working, I'm glad we were on the third floor instead of the seventh. The rooms are very dark, the furniture has seen it's better days, the wallpaper is peeling off and the rooms had not been cleaned very well at all. I will say that the staff and manager were very nice and apologetic. The pool was nice and very clean and the breakfast was good.

Average Hotel Value
The hotel was pretty average. It was clean, but not spotless. The service was a little below average but the price was right and the location was pretty good. I think that we got exactly what we paid for. You certainly should not be expecting a five, four or even three star hotel, but not a bad place to stay for one or two nights on a budget.
