Microtel Inn And Suites Gatlinburg

Great location, staff did not care, building is old and out of date, plus need repairs. Would recommend that hotel if location is your first criteria.

Our room was not clean. There was hair on the pillow cases and the sheets. There was stinky on the toilet lid and there was urine that had crystalized on the inside of the toilet walls. We had to change the bed ourselves. We were told that the hotel was completely booked and they could not change us to another room that night. The next morning when housekeeping came she refused to clean the toilet. She said she was just there to get the dirty towels and would come back to clean the toilet. I went to the front desk asked to see the manager he never came. I requested to see him over 5 times and he never came. The lady at the front desk kept having to call him on the phone to talk to him. He told her to move us to a different room (yeah one became available , what a miracle). We moved to that room but that room was dirty also. Hair on the sheets and the shower in this room had something funny looking inside the tub with hair in it. My husband and I went back to the front desk to tell them we just wanted to check out. After the not so friendly front desk lady called the manager and continued to twist my words to say something that I didn't say she called the manager and he told her to refund me one night. I told her that was unacceptable because I wasn't going to pay to sleep in filth. She finally called the manager again after threatning to call the police (why who knows she told me over and over that I needed to stop yelling even though I wasn't yelling) and the manager finally agreed to refund us both nights. We went up the road and stayed at a clean hotel where they always leave the light on! So if you like dirty rooms and unfriendly staff and management that can't show their face when a problem arises then this is the hotel for you! And by the way...we stayed here around the same time last year and had to change our sheets at check-in, too. Guess that's what I get for believing in second chances.

Had a two room suite for 3 nights, paid $46 and some change per night. Great room, super location close to downtown Gatlinburg and main street. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great value for the money Children and pet friendly. Would stay there again

Staff was pleasant. Rug had a fairly large stain. Bathroom sink had lots of cracks. Soap and towels were provided, that's all. No shampoo, etc. The continental breakfast was ok the first day (Wed), the next day they ran out of bananas and by the 3rd day, there wasn't any fruit at all or any yogurt. Location is very convenient, you can keep your car at the motel and walk into town, where there isn't any free parking. It is also right across the street from the convention center, where there was a craft show.

Even though we didn't spend a lot of time in our room, it was nice and comfortable. The window seat is not made for sleeping on! We had a fridge and hairdryer, would have preferred a microwave to hairdryer. This was a short vacation so the room was great and the staff is wonderful, no problems checking in at 11 pm. Also pet friendly when I decide which parrot to bring so they all get a chance to have fun away from home. I came especially for Southern Draw Tattoos, best cosmetics tattoos around and the laughing sun i had put on upper back. Went to the Lumberjack Show and dinner, dinner wasn't great but the show was fantastic. Really suprised to find a parade that was fun in Pigeon Forge. I come to gatlinburg, pigeon forge and severville for vacation trips twice a year. This is my second stay in Microtel and I will be back!

1st time staying there. clean room,tv was in the rigth spot, and liked the open window and the set were you can sat and look out or watch TV or read a book. only one thing i did'nt like was the you could not get a pop and if you could it was not pepis that you could get and also room's could have a microwave so we can pop popcorn and other stuff. But ever thing was OK and we would stay again. thank-you. My husband and our friend rode the dragon and the lady's went shoping. Some room's was not as good and will not go back and some was good but to high some had ever thing and also to high.

was very nice in the fact that it was close to everyting in gatlinburg, our bathroom needed cleaned, and pets at the hotel kept us up all night, but besides this it was nice would stay here again.

the hotel was ok if you just wanted to stay in gatlinburg. Mostly all the outdoor activites are in pigeon forge. Its really crazy coming down from the mountain during holiday weekends. The hotel looked nothing liked the picture and smelled like a pack and a half through out the hallway.

Just a minute or two walk from the main strip and next to the space needle this hotel is perfectly located. The room is a little small, but is perfect for a couple (as is the full wall mirror). The window had a bench and our room had a beautiful view! Definately worth the price.
