MOUNTAIN LOFT

My stay at Mountain Loft was great. It was really cold which I didnt expect but otherwise everything was great. The room was clean,updated and had everything you need. I would stay here again.

The hotel complex was embedded in a fortress of Smoky Mountains. The apartment-sized rooms were comfortable, clean, and for Tennessee, luxurious! The short drive to town and hiking trails is breathtaking. However, Beware of bears!

Upon arriving check in at 4 was crazy. It was slow and there were so many people checking in. It seemed a lot of customers were getting angry due to some mess ups. Anyway, you had to get in one line to check in and then go to another line to get your parking tag and that's where they get you......They want you to attend their timeshare meeting. Thank goodness I was only staying one night and could get out of it. Everything else seemed to go great. I was expecting hotel room but these were small one bedroom condos with dishwasher, washer and dryer.

The rooms are very, very cramped. The place seems really dated. The way that the rooms are connected can make them very noisy if your neighbors slam their doors. The indoor pool is pretty small. The beds and pillows are the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept on in a hotel - and I am not a picky person about beds and pillows. Rooms were clean and decent location for getting around Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Very nice accomodations. Roomy, comfortable, and well equipped for a family. Exercise room rather cramped. Overall very relaxing trip. I will return

It was the most shocking experience that I have ever had with any business that is 100% customer service based. They tried to make the problems with the facility our problem. Which it was for 2 days and nights without any fan or a/c in out unit. If my husband and I wanted to stay in the out of doors with windows and doors open to get the unit cool enough to sleep, I suppose we could have pitched a tent and had the same service. What a disappointment! We where looking forward to a nice and relaxing long weekend only to have 2 days worth of hassel. Night manager [...] was told that we would just have to "deal with it, that no other units were avalible due to the holiday weekend" Which we had a hard time believing due to the empty parking lots and rooms. [...]the Blue Green day managers name and we had to take time away from out vacation to talk to her before we were given any satifaction, we then changed buildings and rooms. I would not recommend Blue Green in Gatlinburg ever!!! They do not care about the customer, their up keep of the facilities, or satisfactory quarters. We booked a "villa" and got a hotel room with a kitchen. The pictures on Mountain Loft or Blue Green show you one thing and give you something else. That is false advertising.

Once we found it, we were delighted with the amenities and the room in general. We arrived extremely late and the security personnel were fabulous.

Mountain Loft is part of the Blue Green Resorts and when I saw that it was available from [...] I was thrilled. We had wanted to check it out. But usually if it seems to good to be true-it is. Mountain Loft is a 4 star resort but the rooms listed on [...] are not rented to the members and therefore not updated to the Mountain Loft standard. Although the room had extra amenities not found in an average hotel-like kitchen appliances and a stackable washer/dryer unit, the flooring was old and bedding terribly old and worn. The view out was amazing, we had fog in the morning and wonderful song birds but do not look down along the hillside-it was littered with trash from past guests. In addition, the thermostat didn't work and after calling maintenance, they just set the temp on the furnace but this still prevented me from adjusting this on my own. Great location but not up to par for the Blue Green name.

The rooms were clean and the sevice was great. Two things though. One, the location is really confusing, a lot of windy mountain type roads to get to the villas. We went in Feb and it was snowing, let me just say: not fun. Two, as secluded as the place seemed, it was asctually kind of noisy. The walls must be paper thin. Oh, and lastly, you have to pay to use wireless internet. I think that is a joke with the price we paid for the place. We should've had it free.
