Nice surprise!

We were able to enjoy the New Year's Eve fireworks from our porch. Even with the noise from the town below, it was relatively quiet in our condo. However, the noise from the people above us was a different story. I am new to renting condos per night but I thought that the $25 cleaning fee should have meant more than just the move-out cleaning. I would have gladly paid for a daily clean.

The best restaurant deals are in Pidgeon Forge. The Gatlinberg restaurants are overpriced.

Wonderful family getaway

While I was initially disappointed on the drive up to Laurel Inn from Red Light #6, Main Street, which appeared to be much further than the .3 mile on the Internet, I was truly pleased that the 67 steps down the back way to Main Street was so very easy and it was indeed close to Main Street. At first I envisioned the great steps to the Pyramids, but no, it was walk a few steps, and there was a level walking area, then a few more and a level walking area, proving to be accessible by most people, even my husband who has had knee surgery on both knees. Thanks for a terrific weekend. I will stay here again.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the 67 steps down, it is not bad and once you are at the bottom, cross a parking lot and you are in front of the convention center at Red Light #8, and a few more steps to the Main Street and lots of shopping.

Nice Stay

Front desk help and check in were excellent. Room was nice with a fireplace. Bed was comfortable. Very convenient to downtown area - within walking distance to the heart of Gatlinburg. Would stay again for the price. Only improvements would be a hot tub - pool was for summer use only. Nice stay...

Weekend Getaway

Great condo for the price. Only complaint was it felt like we were staying at Grandma's house. Other than the dated rooms, it was a great location and we had a room with a large jacuzzi in it. Very relaxing.

Great View!

We went to Gatlinburg for our 5 yr anniversary, The view was amazing and we loved being in a secluded area away from the bustle of downtown. The room itself looked like I had walked back into the 1990's everything was a bit older in style but still was in great shape. Had a great time and we will definately go back!

Fantastic Location

Great Place to stay! Quiet and peaceful! Location is great - close enough to walk to local attractions but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be restful. This was our 3rd stay and will stay again!

Great place away from the noise

We liked the condo and utilized it to the best of our abilities. We spent a lot more time away from it than we expected, so the kitchenette did not assist us much. We are walkers so the trips to the strip and back did not bother us much.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Go over the mountains to Cherokee, NC. The drive over and the entertainment on the other side are worth the trip. (My wife recommends the Paula Dean restaurant in Harrah's.)
