Howard Johnson Inn Gatlinburg Downtown

We specifically reserved a room with a fireplace for our honeymoon. But upon checkin we discovered it was not in season any more. I wish we would have been informed of this before reserving the room. No mention of it at all online. Very disappointed

The staff was nice. The kids loved the breakfast. Rooms were clean.

There is NO Aunt B's Pancakes anymore. The door looked like someone had tried to break in at some point. The wall outlets did not work. Rotted places outside of building. No Jacuzzi tubs and the water pressure was awful. VERY unpleased with the whole experience and will not return.

It was good . Wednesday afternoon we came back to the room the door was ajar nothing missing. But the maid needs to be more careful. And the room was about half cleaned. told the front desk. And the donuts at breakfast were stale. Thank you room 106.

DO NOT STAY HERE or use O for anything. I had a family emergency and had to check out a measly 4 hours after arriving and when I tried to get a refund I was told the hotel doesn't have a manager and I would have to call back every single hour to attempt to track down someone to maybe get a refund. Seriously? Is that even an acceptable answer? And when I told them I would simply hold so O would handle it...nope! They just told me that was what I would have to do but it was *impossible * to do right now. I'm disgusted by how I was treated.

Motel was very dated, updates needed. Drink and ice machines did not work in many areas. Comfortable beds and temperature control. Within walking distance of anything we needed.

Close to Great Smoky Mountains NP. Clean, Spacious, Good bed. Coffee maker in rm, fridge, no microwave. Internet was not working in my room, but did in lobby. Breakfast was average. Parking is very tight. You might need to carry your bags a distance on a full night. It is right in the middle of the craziness of Gatlinburg.

Was a nice stay, quite, and located at one side of town where everything was in walking distance

The price was good, but that was about it. A lot of small things added up to tell me I won't book here again. Ice machines were broke, the room curtain was tore off so I had to set it up with a pillow to keep it closed.. other wise people walking by kept staring into the room, the carpet was nasty.. needs to be replaced, tv remote was broken, towels were like drying off with a hand towel, the mini fridge wouldn't keep what drinks that where in there cool. You get what you pay for. If you want a good price and can deal with the rest.. this is your place to be. Within walking distance to the Gatlinburg strip.. that also was a plus. We parked the car and walked where we wanted to be saving parking fees. The ladies at the front desk were super helpful and friendly, and the housekeeper did a good job of keeping the room clean. I will look around and pay a higher price for a better quality vacation.

Staff took our cash and still charged our credit card!! Elevator wasn't working and our room was on the third floor... had it not been so late and we weren't so exhausted it may have not been so bad.
