Good getaway

This hotel was very nice, clean and a great location, just 2 blocks off the main strip. The pool area looked awesome, just wish we would have had time to enjoy it! The only down fall was the bathroom and view. The bathroom was so tiny, like they almost forgot to include it. The view, our room looked out on the roof of the atrium/pool area. We got our room for $112, we were told the normal rack rate was $124. Overall we would stay here again.

getaway

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was creekside so it was also quiet. Location is very nice, not on the main road yet not so far that we could walk there. We would stay at this hotel again.

Fantastic getaway for the 2 of us

When we arrived at the Glenstone Lodge, we were immediately taken in by the beauty of the outside of the hotel. This hotel was a little older, but had been taken well care of. It was nice to see that in a time of "modern" hotels. The rustic touch was good to see. The all glass elevator looked over a grand lobby. The swimming pools and waterfall were also very nice. The staff was genuine, kind, and we had no issues checking in. The room itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice as well. All in all, it scored many brownie points for me with my wife. Great experience.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Go to Gatlinburg in the colder months. The views are still great, but the crowds are so much smaller.

Fun for Kids

The pool was great for young kids, although the entire hotel smelled of chlorine the first day. Other than that our was an average place.

Fun for kids

The hotel is very old and dated, but has some charm to it. It was relatively clean, family in another room actually had a mouse in their room but it was taken care of promptly. But for the price, having the huge indoor pool and the proximity to everything in Gatlinburg it's a good value if you have young kids. The only other complaint is the whole place reeked of chlorine from pool treatment the first day.

fantastic just as I remember it

I've been staying here since i was a young child and my father worked there. When we wanted a room for a special night to celebrate my daughters birthday i knew the Glenstone lodge was what we wanted. She loved the place. The pool area was beautiful just as i remembered it. The holiday decor was beautiful. The kids even enjoyed the putting green. All the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and beautiful with a nice surprise of a balcony when i was not expecting one. We didn't get to try the breakfast buffet with my son's food allergy but, it smelled fanatic. Me and my husband are hoping to have a short getaway for our anniversary and we were talking about staying there because it's far enough off the strip to not be loud but, close enough to walk. I could go on forever about how much we loved the place and enjoyed our stay.

9 Children and 4 Adults and WE LOVED IT!!!!!

We were looking for a Hotel that was in Gatlinburg and had a good indoor pool. We were traveling with kids age 2,4,4,5,6,6,8,13,14 and we wanted something that would satisfy everyone. This is what we found here. The staff was VERY friendly. The pool area was AWESOME and there was even a putting green in the indoor pool area that the kids loved! We ate the breakfast buffet and it was delicious. Adults were $8.99 kids age 4-9 were $4.99. Our room was very clean and there was plenty of parking. The lobby was decorated very pretty for Christmas. Overall great experience and great value!!!!!

Average stay for not a lot money

We had a room., toilet didn't flush as it should've and bath tub didn't drain well either! We stayed in a room by the indoor pool. Not good! Running air when should've ran heat. Asked for another room. Which was better. Mattress was actually sleep able room was bigger.., but, the bathroom fixture needing replacement! Overall I wouldn't stay there again!
