Comfort Inn On The River

Right at the start of the strip[right as you enter town] so you wont deal with a ton of traffic, as long as you don't mind a little walk to all the attractions, the location isnt all bad. Not a horrible place. the rooms need updating as the fireplce was falling apart and the bathroom had a cracked sink and mold in the shower. It has a nice view of the "river" running out back. Overall: Not a bad place to sleep, but I would not want to be stuck in it if there was bad weather, not that comfortable.

Our check in was fast and easy and we actually had a room we booked with king bed,nonsmoking,riverview.Room was worn and dated but clean.Traffic noise was a problem but the river was beautiful to view and hear.

No problem with late check-in, room was large and clean and equipped with fridge and microwave. Great sleeping until 6am when housekeeping began rolling the carts up and down the cement walkway on metal wheels right outside the window...very noisy. Being situated on the main drag, there was a lot of traffic noise, as well. Too far to walk to the main shopping , dining and attractions, but next door to a trolley stop.

The pool was very small and construction was being done to the pool - floor around the pool was very slippery and not attractive. Sometimes they ran out of coffee in the lobby. The breakfast was limited and the trays were not readily refilled. Had to ask for some breakfast items and were quickly refilled. a long walk to town and the trolley was had to catch so we had to walk to town everyday - about 15-20 min walk. Rooms were average - nothing special.

this was aweful experience I ever had in my life, I pay almost $100.00 and hotel did not even worth $20. there were no comfort in "confort Inn". I would not recomand to any one to stay here if you visiting Gatlinburg. In Hotel extras has outdoor swimming pool which no where to find. Balcony of my room was dirty, had spiders and spider web everywhere. the hotel is right by the heavy traffic, we need to get the ear pluge so we can sleep without noice. I wish, I could have just walk in to the other nice hotel and get the room. enough said,,

Overall the hotel is a great place to stay. It was nice and on the river very peaceful and relaxing. The balcony overlooks the running river. It is within walking distance to all the downtown attractions. We felt very safe and secured while staying there. The kids were disappointed about the pool not being available for swimming. The staff was nice and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel to a friend.

room looked just like the pictures online. great view of the river from the balcany. The lower level parking was very well lit. The elevator is a little slow but if your going down, they have ramps instead of stairs so its an easy stroll to the bottom!
