Gatlinburg hotel surrounded by streams in the center of the town
The Best Western Twin Islands is located in the center of Gatlinburg within walking distance to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies and many restaurants and shops. Streams surround the hotel, and all the rooms have balconies overlooking the water. A large playground and heated, seasonal outdoor pool attract families. Guests can even fish on the property. Business bonuses include meeting facilities, high-speed Internet access and fax and photocopy services.

Location
The Best Western Twin Islands is surrounded by mountain streams, yet the hotel is centrally located in downtown Gatlinburg. Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is within walking distance, as are a number of shops, restaurants and museums. The hotel is on the trolley route. The famed Great Smoky Mountains National Park with its hiking and outdoor activities is a short drive away.

Perfect location, very accommodating.

Stayed at this hotel due to location. Staff very friendly, rooms very comfortable, but could use some updating. Overall, highly recommend!

ALL AROUND ALRIGHT

THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEAN AND TO MUCH PUT IN SUCH A SMALL AREA........ALSO THE HAIRDRYER DID NOT WORK RIGHT AND ALSO THEY DID NOT GIVE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER OR LOTION.........SHAME

Weekend in Gatlinburg

Hotel staff was very friendly. They let us check in early and let us leave our car parked there after check out so we could walk around town. The ladies serving breakfast were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. The beds were some of the softest I have ever slept on in a motel. Will definitely be staying here from now on.

Walls are too thin!

I had a nice experience at check in with the staff and was placed right next to a room with a screaming baby. The staff quickly moved me to a nicer room, where I had a peaceful stay on the first night. The second night was just as bad as the first room on the first night...there were two or three young kids who stayed up past midnight and were up too early. The walls are too thin...I know it's an older hotel and it was packed. The rates were nice...but I didn't rest, like I had hoped. If there are things that you can do to help guests out who need to sleep with the noise reduction I would gladly change my ranking. The staff was nice and the rooms were fairly clean. But the room comfort was almost unacceptable. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

will stay here again

located right next to the aquarium. and also right behind the hard rock. i love the location. staff was great. rooms were nice. the doors could use weather strippibng around them. we will stay here again.

Convenient Comfort in Gatlinburg

Very comfortable rooms, well stocked linens, coffee, towels. Beds clean and comfortable. Rooms could use a face lift but overall would go back again.

Precious Memories

We have stayed at this facility many times so we enjoy going back each year to recall all of the good times. But time has a way of taking its toll on buildings and such and this facility is getting a little tired.

Gatlinburg in Oct.

hotel close to attractions, friendy staff,updated rooms in process, beautiful big inroom jacuzzi,kept car parked at hotel and walk wherever we wanted to go,very enjoyable stay
