Located at the foot of the Cumberland Mountains in Cookeville Tennessee we offer a quiet scenic retreat for all our guests. At Alpine Lodge and Suites we believe that we are able to offer our business travelers a home away from home. Situated halfway between Nashville and Knoxville and with easy access from Interstate 40 exit 290 it is the perfect place to stop on those long business trips. Alpine Lodge and Suites is a quiet peaceful motel with easy access to I40 and the Cookeville region including Tennessee Tech University.

I usually stay in other hotels, but I found my usual spaces booked when I had to make a last-minute trip to Cookeville. It's OK for what it is - a cheap place to stay maybe one half-step up from the "motor inn" kind of place.
Odd smell upon
entering the hotel, but the room itself was fine, if a bit shabby, and decor fairly cheap/outdated. (I usually barely notice such things, so it was bad enough for me to take note.)
The mattress was much too soft, the pillows virtually useless.
But...for the price, I got pretty much what I expected.
The location is on the edge of Cookeville, so it's not the most convenient. But since the next place that would have been better was 30 minutes away, it was OK to stay for a couple of days. It's not in my top choices for my next trip, though.

Short drive from hotel
Crawdaddies is a good place for a meal. Don't get there too late, though, or you'll be waiting for a table.
