Facility OK, staff - not so much
Hotel was alright for this price range. Room in good order, AC and plumbing worked well (NICE hot shower!) beds reasonably comfortable, overall clean. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but not bad. Check in staff was polite, as was check out. "But"... early morning front desk lady was obnoxious. Got into a prolonged argument with a guest while discussing his kids stomping up the steps (which I don't take issue with). But I do take issue with her berating him for everything from his tattoos to his prison record, to the fact she felt nervous around him. I might mention that I was not in the lobby, but up a flight of steps on the second floor. She was LOUD, and at 7:00am on a Sunday morning, no less. It made ME feel uncomfortable! Wonder what she thinks of the rest of her guests...

After reading the mixed reviews I was nervous about this hotel but was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in a 2 queen room with an interior door which I found clean and quite comfortable. I particularly like having a refrig and microwave without having to ask or pay extra. The continental breakfast had a fair selection but the food quality was poor. For the price, I would bring my own breakfast and stay here again.

Cracker Barrel is in the next lot. Once I got to the hotel for the night, I didn't have to move my car.

Very clean room, very nice staff, and ..
The motel staff was very friendly and helpful. They switched us to a 1st floor, handicapped accessible room to accomodate my 85 year-old Dad (before I asked). The Cracker Barrel Restaurant was excellent and only 50 yards away. Our stay was trouble-free..........and I appreciate that !

Nice place to stay, good price
My husband and I chose this place due to location and price and absolutely loved it. We have to go back again for my husband's graduation and we have decided to stick with the Douglas Inn and Suites! The only small draw back was that our room was over the front door to the hotel and we heard the door buzzer every time the door was opened.
