not on the waterfront
Based on the map, I believed that the hotel was on the waterfront. It is not. It is several blocks from where the restaurants are so that was disappointing, but the hotel was the cleanest I've ever been in!

Long walk from hotel
The restaurants downtown were terrible, even at the high-end restaurants Hennen's and Chato.

Grandparent's Adventure
We brought our 3 year old granddaughter to visit the Aquarium and ride the train. She had a great time-- loved the indoor pool. Breakfast was hectic with an entire BB team eating but the staff was great.

great price for family weekend
we checked in about 4pm-the operations manager was very nice and helpful-he gave us a 10% off card for dinner downtown-the room was clean and good sized for us. It was comfortable and quiet-we had a nice buffet breakfast-the pancake maker was a BIG hit with my 12 year old son. We left at 9am to go downtown-I left my 3 laptops in the safe deposit box and was not given a key even though I questioned the clerk about this and sorta wondered about the safety of my items-later I found out I should have been given a key. We returned to the hotel about 13 hours later 11pm-picked up my laptops, came back to a clean room-no problems-had a 2nd buffet breakfast-it was good again-overall this was a great deal for a family weekend getaway-109.00 a night. We had to pay 3.00 for parking which was cheaper then a lot of other hotels I looked at-I would stay here again-it is less then a mile to downtown.

Not so good
Well there was no jacuzzi so that was a downer. The rooms were clean and nice, however the fridge worked but barley. Also they charged us extra for the way I had to park due to no parking. The only part that was decent was the breakkkkfast. I juat think that for 109 bucks it could have been better.

Very nice
Very clean and looked great. Bed was hard though and guest next door could be heard talking very loudly and clearly at 3 in the am. Also cleaning lady knocked once and opened the door a good hour and ten minutes before check out. Breakfast the next morning was great.

decent hotel, great location
PROS: The hotel was clean, parking free, breakfast complimentary (several selections including cereal, yogurt, waffles, english muffins, fruits, scrambled eggs, cheese omelet, sausage, sausage gravy, muffins, etc.), internet complimentary, HDTV, indoor pool (personally don't like outdoor pools), and very close to attractions. Only about 3 minutes to the Tennessee Aquarium and 7~10 minutes to Lookout Mountain. CONS: The pool was kind of small with a lot of kids so it's hard to move around freely. Inside the room, door closings in the hallway could be heard bright and clearly(sensitive to sound like that? not recommended. our couple didn't really care. it happens). The only thing that bothered me was the water pressure on the shower head. It was quite weak. I have thick hair and am used to strong water pressure for it wets and cleans my hair quickly and thouroughly, but with the weak pressure, didn't feel quite refreshing. Ladies with the same concerns, this is something to consider.
