Baymont Inn and Suites Chattanooga

good breakfast, room clean, bathroom a bit old, friendly staff

We went to Chattanooga to attend a convention and could not afford the prices of downtown hotel rooms. The Baymont Lookout Mtn. was a godsend. It had a nice heated pool and spa, was clean, was an easy 6 minute drive to the convention center, had non-smoking rooms, and was convenient to restaurants, the interstate, and shopping. The staff was helpful and convivial. The breakfast was substantial and offered warm and cold food. Our rooms were clean, properly maintained, and quiet. All-in-all we had a nice visit to Chattanooga thanks, in part, to our accommodations at the Baymont Lookout Mt.

I traveled to the area with my parents (80 and 81 years old). We enjoyed it a lot. the breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Had hot eggs and waffles, coffee and usual cereal, toast, muffins, etc. The only negative was that the halls were hot, but considering it was 103 the days we were there it is no wonder. the room was older but the bed and room were very clean and bed was so soft! We had 2 queen beds and an extra room with a sofa bed. great for traveling with family. We would stay here again. Easy off interstate 24 and easy to downtown Chattanooga, TN and Lookout Mountain!

We picked this hotel because it had a hot tub for my mother who has bad knees, but the hot tub did not work. The hot tub's water was hot but the jets did not work. Shower head had different settings but could not be adjusted. We bought microwave popcorn from the vending machine and p ut it in the microwave and the microwave did not work. After 40 seconds the bag of popcorn started smoking and filled the room with smoke. I opened the window on the forth floor and there was no screen. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. We did sight see at Rubt Falls, did the incline railway and Rock City. The location was great. The attractions were close and the traffic was not a problem such as noice and hard to move. To compare with other trips this was not my top pick but it was not the worst.

We enjoy staying at this Baymont in every few years since we spent our Honeymoon there 12 years ago. The location is great, and you can't beat the amentities for the price. I only had one complaint this trip. We put the Do Not Disturb sign out so we could sleep in. Instead of the maid knocking, they called at 9:30 a.m. to see what time they could clean the room. So not only did they wake us up, we felt obligated to get up and get out of the room. Otherwise, the stay was great. The rooms are super quiet and the staff is really nice.

Parking lot way too small,night counter person sucks with customers--must hate job? rooms not clean,hotel not clean at all. don't stay there spend a little more money stay right up road at Hampton Inn.

Had minor difficulties with this hotel i.e. the toilet seat was broken but the hotel staff was accomodating and changed our room. The pool was always crowded. Have to ask for towels for the pool and our room. There was not enough seating in the pool area either. There are not many dining out options close by either. Walmart however is right behind the hotel.

My husband & I were attend. a family reunion one weekend. Dogs kept us up. Lobby decor leaves something to be desired--although that is minor. The second weekend me, my adult son and my 2 yr. old grandson stayed. We got in very late at night, exhausted, got our card keys--would not work. The desk attend. gave us new ones--still did not work--she tryed the master--did not work. Baby is crying--attendant tells me there are no other rooms available. Finally, after much deliberation she gave us "The Honeymoon Suite", which is a joke. Tried to use the elevator and doors were acting weird. The man who had just gotten off told me he had been stuck for 20 min. earlier. So, I carried 2 yr. old up the Hot stairwell to the 4th floor, as my son was getting the luggage. He chanced the elevator, but he had to force the doors closed! It also took almost 2 hrs to cool the room. The next morn. the breakfast was poor. Out of milk, sausage gravy was like water. Not enough seating. We just left. This was the absolute worst stay at an inn ever! Oh yes, also there was a pee stain on the back of the toilet.

When I went check in at Baymont the clerk was not friendly at all. She acted like I did not deserve to stay there. We had to wait and hour because our reservations had not shown up yet. When we got to our room there was a mildew and musty smell coming from the bathroom. The room was a little on the small size. The pool area was nice. The breakfast was good. Go early if you want eggs so they will not be watery. Its location is good for the attractions around there.

I like the room because the bathroom and sink area were very clean. Although My family feel the bed is too soft, I'll stay there next time in that area.
