Conference among the Fall Foliage

I was in town for a conference. A wonderful plus was the beautiful autumn leaves I enjoyed to and from the conference each day. A wonderful side trip I took was to Lookout Mtn, GA, about 15 minutes away. The leaves were breathtaking as well as the view of the valley far below. Lookout Mtn, Rock City, Point Park, and Ruby Falls are all great places to visit. This stay was ok. Room was clean. Basic amenities plus a microwave and nice size microfridge w/ freezer section, good plus for me. One staff member was not happy to accommodate guests but overall staff ok. I would have like to have a blanket or comforter on the bed but none was in the room-just a sheet and thin blanket. If you are looking for the very basics this will do just fine. If you'd like a little extra tlc to your rooms, look elsewhere.

Pretty Good!

We arrived about 4:30 on the 18th.. I had my print out for our room in hand. Had to wait a few minutes, ( lady was on the phone, owner was standing there and said she will be with you soon). Check in was pretty smooth..I did have a complaint the next day. My wife and I had a vary long day,( we did all the mountain had to offer, ( more than we should have for 1 day at our ages). Any way we got back to the room around 7:30, and the Card Key would not work... I did get a bit ticked off. Had to go back to the office and get it re- programed to get in.. Had asked @ check in for a late check out as per internet ad, and was told that 12:30 was the best they could do, I was OK with that, but at 11:55 while I was showering they call the room and tell my wife that check out is in 5 minutes, kind of upset her and she came to the bath room in a tizzy about it. So I called back to office and explained the agreement, guess they just did not read that part... Other than what I have said, it was not so bad, and will probably go back @ that kind of price.. breakfast was really pretty good too!

Nice and cheap, but smokey

I reserved a non-smoking room. I could tell it was a nonsmoking room, however, it was still very smokey. My clothes when I got home smelled awful.

Best Western

If this was a 3 star hotel, I am Peter Pan! The hotel was dirty, the room had blood stains (at least that is what it looked like) on the floor. The bath room toilet had "black stuff" on it and the whole plce is in need of a renovation; from paint to decor. I will not stay there again and in fact we left after 2 hours and did not even un pack.

Fine

Were in the area for a speech and debate tournament at a local college. Access to and from Cummings Highway is a little tight. Room was as advertised and typical for an "updated" Best Western Executive. Meaning there was a new faux marble counter top and some VERY fresh paint. There's a Wendy's across the way. Adequate for our needs. Breakfast starts at 7, so if you've got an early go, include that in your budgeting plans. The biscuits were a bit...firm.

Mediocre Hotel

The location was not very nice. It was kind of far away from the city. It also seemed to not be in a good area and there were lots of people that were loud at night. We also had something that had been shoved into the door to prevent the use of the peep hole, which was odd. The room was also musty smelling. Everything other than that was just okay. There was nothing spectacular. The hotel did have lots of brochures for the area which was helpful.

Clean and Comfortable

Our room was very clean and spacious. The amenities (mini-fridge,hot tub, coffee maker) were all good. A good value and comfortable bed. The staff were helpful and friendly. Only thing that wasn't great was the hot breakfast; it was from 7-10 a.m., but when we went to eat at 9 a.m., everything was dried-out in the warmers. But the waffle maker was nice as well as the choice of breads. Thank you for a great stay!

Downtown is beautiful, but I would suggest you get there a little before evening. Also, if you take advantage of the nearby wine shop and liquor store, make sure you get a wine bottle opener somewhere else as they do not carry them.

Worst Stay

This was an older facility and it shows. We were very disappointed because it had ants and the room was much smaller than expected. I would not recommend this hotel.

Wonderful place to stay

The hotel is wonderful and very clean. The hotel is located near the exit for Ruby Falls & Rock City. It's also within a 10 min radius of Walmart (we forgot a few things that we needed for the trip to move my step-daughter to college there) and next door to Wendy's. There's a Waffle House just a few doors down & also a Cracker Barrel right around from the Waffle House. We were on the side where the road is & you could not hear the trafic at all. I was very, very pleased with the room over all. The only thing that I did not like was the hair dryer in the room and the pillows on the king bed. The dryer looks like a vaccum cleaner hose & took alot longer to dry my hair. The pillows were firm like I am use to. Outside of that it was GREAT. For the price you pay, this room is well worth it. I would give it a 10.

Wendy's is right next door in walking distance. Waffle House is a few doors up from that & Cracker Barrel is around the corner from the Waffle House. Wouldn't suggest walking to either of them as it is up a hill and alittle futher than the Wendy's.
