BEST WESTERN Heritage Inn

The room had a cat urine odor in room #149 where my sons and grandson stayed. The other room #148 where I and my wife stayed was OK. Because we left early and I had no opportunity to speak to the desk clerk I had wanted to demand a major reduction in the cost of Room #149. I am very disappointed.

Ordinary,fair price for an overnight stay. We were very pleased with the City Cafe Restaurant right next door to the Hotel excellent food.

This hotel was a short term living situation for our family. My 3 year old loved the pool however i had to use the net to skim the top everytime before she could get in because it was not well kept. The maids were very RUDE! I did not want my room completely cleaned everyday as I could do that myself since we were living here short term but i did like for it to be vacummed and bedding changed every other day with two small children both are a must when in this small of a space. When i would ask the maid(s) they would talk in there language and just give off this bad vibe and say "yesterday".. although i couldnt understand what they were saying i could definately read the facial expressions they were giving me. I am not, and was not rude in any way but I guess I should have been bc I got nowhere with them I ended up taking my bedding to the laundry mat up the road and buying a vaccum cleaner bc they only wanted to do both once a week... However the front desk clerks were awesome!! and very helpful. the owner was a jerk when i made my complaint about the maid service.

When I got to my room, the door was standing open. I soon discovered why. The room reeked of urine.I was on my way to the lobby when I encountered the manager and asked him to come check it out. He was mortified and immediately gave me a different room and told the clerk to put a block on that room to avoid renting it out again until they could fix the problem.

Reserved this hotel last minute because we were traveling to a funeral; I worked with a staff member over the phone who was incredibly accommodating when I had overlooked the fact that I had booked a smoking room instead of nonsmoking. Tried to call later in the day when we were en route and the phone just rang and rang - I would have appreciated a voicemail system so that I could have gotten a call back. The same staffer was running the desk when I arrived - she was tired after a long shift but cheerful and helpful. We rented two adjoining rooms so that the small baby could sleep peacefully before lights out for the grownups - the rooms were comfortable and I could tell that they were making bit-by-bit improvements to the rooms of an older hotel. breakfast at the city cafe was delicious and we had great service. If I have to make a trip from Ohio to Florida again, or if I'm staying in Chattanooga, I'd stay here again - the price was right and everything else was good for our trip too.

Hotel is right on the street corner, and traffic noise was a little loud in our room, which was on the street side. Otherwise, the room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable.

The staff are terrific and extremely helpful. The hotel is in process of renovation so it is a little unfair to jude the accomodations and amenities right now. Fantastic restaurant attached to it; I highly recommend it.

Cold but efficient check-in. Needed my GPS to locate the ice machine. No breakfast but discount at the cafe next door. Convenient to I-75.

The hotel was centrally located between Lee University and Abba's House. These were the main places we went to visit. It was also a short, easy drive to downtown Chattanooga and to Lookout Mountain. The room was very affordable and recently remodeled. The bed was suprisingly plush and so comfortable (I am very particular about my matress) also plenty of pillows! The carpet in the room was new. The lamps and vanity lighing was very bright. The AC worked great. The marble vanity and sink were new (needed to be taller). The water pressure was excellent. Negatives are: need a new elongated toilet, this one was old and the seat didn't stay on straight. Needs all new towels, these were old, thin and felt like sand paper, they need to be thrown away! The main problem is the truck drivers, construction workers and other clients who "hung out" outside their rooms. I was not comfortable walking out into the parking lot. Some people had pulled chairs out of their rooms and were sitting outside, some were grilling out of the back of their truck. Some were loud and drinking. The adjoining cafe was great with a huge menu. Overall well worth the money, just stay in your room!

Hair on the sink, bathtub, towels, and floors. Clean remote was nice. TV needed brightness adjustment but could not be adjusted and dark movies could not be seen. Guy at front desk during check-in didn't say much. Didn't seem friendly or helpful as if I was bothering him by checking in. Even had to ask where my room was located because he just handed me the key and didn't say anything. Checkout lady was very nice.
