Decent hotel
Basic no frills hotel. I only stayed one night so it was perfect for that. I don't know if I would rate as high if I was staying more than one night. Small room, kind of dated, no frills.

The outside of the hotel was the best part. We requested a non-smoking room. We were placed in a smoking room. The room was OK, but I expected more from a a $90.00 per night room.

We requested a non-smoking suite with two double beds but were given a smoking suite with one queen. When we asked to be moved to an appropriate suite there were none available. [...] Our room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke but our only alternative would have been to change hotels.

weekend getaway
Since it was my first time staying at the Mainstay, I had a little hard time finding it. But once I located the hotel, it was great because I could get to several eateries and stay off the busy main street. The staff was great , and took time to give me directions to my local destination.

Convenient
Could not get the wireless internet connection to work and when I called the service number they did not fix the problem. They called me back at 9:30am next day which obvioulsy was too late.

What a terrific surprise!
Lovely, low-key atmosphere in a quiet, attractive area. Good lighting and sensible-sized landscaping offered feeling of safety getting in and out of car at night. Staff very friendly and helpful. Public areas, as well as our room, were spotless. Our one-room suite was surprisingly large; kitchenette even offered a full-size refrig and a 2-burner cooktop. We've stayed at 3 other, much pricier Brentwood Hotels and weren't nearly as pleased. Mainstay Suites will be our lodging of choice anytime we travel again.

Good value!
I was pleasantly surprised . I had never stayed at a Mainstay Suites, but had stayed at other extended stay hotels. Mainstay Suites by far was cleaner and more comfortable. The check in was quick and easy (after a long wait) and the hotel staff was very friendly. This is a good location close to the interstate and there are several restaurants close by. I would stay here again!
