Wedding Weekend

The hotel was not nearly worth what I paid for. The rooms need some serious updating. The first night there was a huge spider that came out of the faucet. Pretty disgusted after that. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if they had to pay the amount I did (because of an event in Deadwood.)

Exactly what I needed

I went to Spearfish to participate in the marathon. The room was comfortable and clean, located in a quiet area of downtown Sperfish. I will stay here again if I ever comeback. Great for the price.

Definitely a budget hotel

The hotel seemed to be in the middle of some remodeling of the facilities (mainly the pool). The rooms were well used and in need of a remodel, but they were clean. Even though this is a budget hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable.

Spearfish Hotel

Large Room and decent price, but was not handicap accessible like I asked. Not enough towels and no instructions as to where ice machine etc was located. Staff not very helpful. Could not connect to the wi-fi at all.

Not worth the money

The Spearfish Travelodge will not be on our list of "stay at again" places. The rooms were not all that clean feeling, the bedding was old and thin, and the refrigerator was missing its handle. Could use some maintaince. It had snowed and the parking lot did not get plowed which was hard to get around. The owners did not open their doors until at least 8 am and were not ready for breakfast. Hard for those who wanted to get on the road early. Not impressed with the Travelodge!!

don't stay at travelodge in Spearfish

My daughter was really looking forward to the jacuzzi your website mentioned, unfortunately the hotel did not have one. The girl at the front desk said it had been gone for close to 5 years. Had I known that we would have picked another hotel. Also, the place was very run down. No ice in the ice machine, the continental breakfast consisted of toast and stale donuts and coffee. No juice or milk. It felt like this was the off season and they didn't really want guests.

Nice and quiet

Must be in the process of renovating so would be nice to see it when completed. Enjoyed our overnight stay and the breakfast was okay. Manager was pleasant and accomodating.

Good Hotel for a Good Price

Overall a very pleasant experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms were neat and clean. Was midly disappointed that I didn't know the pool area was under constuction and unavailable.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

If your looking for some nightime activities, Deadwood is a short drive away. You can find entertainment and dinning there in abundance.
