The stay was okay. Some parts of the hotel were very clean while others weren't including the rooms. The lock on the window ... was broke but they did compensate me for that. The staff was great and the breakfast was super. Very noisy as it was by a very busy street.

Good Location

The beds were comfortable, but the carpet and a recliner in the room were not at all clean. There was a microwave and small ... refrigerator in the the room which is nice when traveling with kids. The continental breakfast was good, lots of choices. The hotel was easy to find and surroundings were fairly quiet.

We went to Falls Park. It was absolutely stunning. I would not leave Sioux Falls without visiting there. It is beautifully done and you don't have to spend the entire day to see everything. I was very impressed!

Just Okay
CMonster Sep 1, 2009
First of all, we asked for a smoking room but it stunk SO bad I almost requested non-smoking. I've stayed in smoking rooms ... and they always did a great job at making sure it didn't reek. Secondly, the breakfast was barely edible. The rolls were so stale I put them in the microwave hoping to liven them up. Nope! The french toast was cold and the fruit looked old. Thirdly, we had family members who booked two other rooms at same hotel. We asked the front desk what roooms they were in (even spelling the last names for them) and they said they weren't in this hotel. They were. The sprinkler in the bathroom was gross. The mirror in the bedroom looked like it was cleaned with a dirty rag. I would not stay there again.

An Amazing Experience
GKatherine Aug 8, 2009
The staff at the desk was amazing. They were always available, friendly and willing to share yet respected our privacy and ... space. They offered suggestions at what we could do. The morning breakfast was fresh and tasty The pool was great to swim in and the hot tub felt really good after walking all day. The location is by places to eat (and they have great places that deliver food at discounts), as well as centrally located near great places to visit - the Zoo is amazingly close. I have been to a lot of hotels, motels and this was by far one of the better hotels - specifically this one in Sioux Falls, SD. I plan on staying there next summer for a week...awesome job employees!

Friendly folks--worst room ever.
Sittie Jun 15, 2009
When we arrived, Orbitz forgot to put us into the motel computer and it took 38 minutes for the manager to get thru to talk ... to the orbitz folks to know that we had already paid! When we got the room, there was black mold in the ceiling and on the floor in the bathroom and the room smelled so bad that we used a full large can of Lysol to kill the smell (even after the duty person cleaned the visible mold)--They had no other room that they could move us to have a better experience!).

OK for the money
Turndra Traveler May 8, 2009
The fitness center was run down so don't expect to use it. The continental breakfast was OK. The staff was friendly enough ... for what they had to work with. This is an older hotel that has a good location and a good price, but that is about it. Some idiot in a non-smoking room lit up and set off the fire alarm in the whole hotel around 10pm which deafened everyone there. Not the staff's fault, but once again...this is an older hotel for the budget-conscious. Beds were comfortable enough and the shower worked OK. Stay here if you need an affordable place near the hotel to crash/sleep at night. Don't expect much else.

We had a whim to try some "local flavor" which was a disaster. Stick to the chains. Subway, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, the "Empire Mall, and Texas Roadhouse are all nearby.

Good Family Value
wiley May 28, 2008
The Ramada in Sioux Falls, SD was a nice place to stay for our family of four, which like many is budget conscious. It is ... not luxurious, but it is quite functional and a great value for the money. The staff was efficient, the room was clean, the free breakfast was a bonus. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

This hotel is basically a reflection of the rate you are paying. It's generally clean but comes with little in amenities. ... The location is poor as there are no sit-down type restaurants in the area.
