A very simple place to stay
It definitely wasn't a bad experience, However there is nothing fancy about this hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Everything was just OK. So if you don't care about the fancy things then this is your place.

Nice place to stay. Good location in general, right by interstate exit and not far from downtown, but tricky to find the exact location, surrounded by other businesses.

Worth the money.
Great location, close to the interstate and several dining establishments. For the price, I can't complain....especially during the Sturgis rally. The rooms were clean and odor free, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioner blocked a lot of the outside traffic noise. However, there was a lot of traffic in the hallways. I would recommend not putting the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door at night, as that seemed to make our room a target for unsupervised children for the duration of our final night there....there was knocking on the door all night, with the "knocker" running and hiding before we could get to the door. Happens. All together, it was not a bad experience.

3 night stay
The rooms were exactly as presented on-line. Air/heat worked fine. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and extra pillows available. The breakfast offereing were adequate and well maintained during the sewrvice period. Vending area was good with multiple ice machines. One room we occupied was a handicapped room and was ideal for my elderly father with lots of grab bars and seating in the bathroom area.

This motel "stinks"
While in a convenient location, there was a very unpleasant odor uon entering the lobby, and an even worse odor in the room. Turning on the AC just made it worse, so we opened the window in spite of the cold. When we told the people at the reception desk, they were rather rude and dismissive. We will never again stay at this motel, and are now suspicious of any Super 8.

Great Stay for the Price
We had a good time at Rapid City/Black Hills. We arrived late our first night into town and needed a cheap place to stay. The Super 8 was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, but the pillows were flat. All in all it was a good, clean cheap place to stay. No extra thrills, no extra cost.
