Very Comfortable

This was a very clean and quiet hotel. The staff was very friendly even though we checked in very late in the evening. Even though the hotel is about 10 minutes from Rapid City, it is certainly worth the drive. Additionally, the price was not inflated just because it happened to be during "tourist season."

Black Hills traveler

The hotel was updated and well managed. The front desk staff were friendly and especially helpful with our tourist site questions. They provided maps and a book was available with all the area's site brochures. The disadvantage for us was its location. It was about 15 minutes outside of Rapid City, in the country. Nothing to do at night. However, the hotel was very family and pet friendly.

poor location

Hotel was ok but the other reviews I read before I booked it made it sound like it was in Rapid City and had lots of restuarants nearby but it was outside of town and only one reaturant near it. We checked the Ramada in town and it was cheaper!

Clean, new, and reasonable

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great continental breakfast with alternating hot dishes daily. Quiet nights. Grocery market and gas station right across street were very convenient. Places to eat were a short drive. I knew we would have to drive some distance to get to attractions and was not disappointed about that. Getting anywhere in the badlands and blackhills was a drive anyway so the stay at the hotel was very nice, quiet, and a great price. Overall very satisfied. A++++++

Nice but Noisy

Our room smelled and looked very clean. The bed was comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The walls and ceilings are very thin because we heard more thumping than is usual and showers running. The location was ok if you don't mind a little drive to the attractions. I wouldn't recommend location if you have kids, I would have stayed closer to the parks. This hotel is about halfway between Rapid City and Sturgis.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There are several local dining areas within a very short driving distance. All of these dining locations were excellent. Buffet style as well as quiet dining for a couple.

Great hotel at a great price

The only thing that is not great at this hotel is that the walls are too thin and we could hear the tv on in the room next to us. Other than that it was great, very friendly, GREAT breakfast, great value, and very clean. it is between Sturgis and Rapid and only 10 minutes from each. We would definately stay at the Ramada again.
