No frills, total convenience: Budget-friendly rooms right off I-90
On a budget? Motel 6 Rapid City offers some of the lowest rates around. The rooms are decidedly basic (bed, television, not much else) and the location blissfully convenient: just off Interstate 90, and minutes from the Rushmore Mall. The major attractions of the region are easy day trips from here, and the motel offers free parking on site (trucks get to park for free, too). Other conveniences include an outdoor pool (seasonal), laundry machines, and myriad dining options -- including Denny's, Minervas and Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery.Motel 6 Rapid City SD Rooms

Good location, good price
It was a good place to stay during my weekend in Rapid. The cable was a bit limited and for a non-smoking hotel there were 2 ashtrays in the room. I found that a bit odd. The staff was friendly and even when there was a power outage in that part of town for a short time they answered all my questions with patience and politeness. I've slept in more comfortable beds at other low cost hotels but it was terrible either. Overall had a pretty good experience.

Nice, Affordable Hotel Seeker
Nice, Inexpensive Room
The hotel is located off of the Lacrosse Street exit, but it is sort of hidden. Since you can't see the hotel from Lacrosse Street once you've turned off the interstate, I'd recommend MapQuesting the route if you're a traveler outside of the local area. Aside from that, I found the hotel to be very nice and clean. The room looked to have been renovated not too long ago, and had sort of a retro-theme to it. All and all, I was quite pleased with how nice the hotel was since the rooms are some of the most affordable in Rapid City.

Short drive from hotel
There is a an Outback restaurant just a short drive from the hotel which has excellent food and service. You have to go north towards the Boston's restaurant and then turn left on that road. Take that road til it dead ends at a hotel and drive through the hotel parking lot til you get to the back of the hotel. There, the Outback will be. It's worth hunting for as it is one of the better places in Rapid City.

WiFi not included-No Shampoo ...
They charged me 2.99 for WiFi. I didn't know it's not included. There was no fridge and no shampoo or hair-drier in the room.

Pool broke
We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but their pool was broke with no expected time to be fixed--on a very hot weekend. So we left after one night. Plus they still expected everyone to pay full price for their room. No shampoo in rooms, just one bar of soap. Very small rooms, very small beds. But it was cheap. Probably would not stay here again.

The room I was in looked like it had been remodeled within the last year or two. In spite of this, there was spot on the wall and the floors could have stood a solid mopping. A feedback card was left in the room, but there were no pens nearby to fill it in!

Philly Ted's serves a wonderful selection of cheesesteak sandwiches. Very much worth the time to check out for those of us who aren't either already cholesterol-impaired or just don't care.

Better than I expected
Met for family gathering. Room was small but neat and clean and in good repair---well worth the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Final cleaning left no soap and bath towel for final day but front desk apologized and re-stocked in abundance. Some Motel 6's have been shabby but not this one,

worse motel I`ve ever been to.
Motel 6 does not recognize [...] or any other travel agency. I did not get the so-called discount [...] said I was suppose to get. I paid full price for the room and ended up leaving after one night before the springs in the bed left scars on my body. [...] deceived me and will never trust your site again. You LIED.

Better than I was expecting!! :-)
We were there during Bike Week and it was way busy. Everyone was great and very accomadating to the needs of us on bikes. Plesantly surprised.
