Dakota Getaway
The location is perfect, at the highway exit. There is a great breakfast restaurant connected to it, not any other available on the Sunday morning we tried to find somewhere different.Indoor pool with a waterslide and sitting area.Bar with entertainment nightly. Only critisizm is that the table in the room needs touching up.

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Rapid City is a great jumping off point for many natural attractions and is a tourist mecca. Be there on a Thursday evening in Summer for their great celebration. Lots to do for everyone. Very family friendly. I would check out local transportation if there is any, hard to park in the city.

Pleasant and Comfortable, No Pool
We stayed one night in this hotel and booked it over others mainly because of the pool. The interior of the hotel and amenities were great and all that we expected. The room (we stayed in a double queen room on the 4th floor) was clean, comfortable, quiet, and large. There were four large pillows on each bed, adjustable heat/air, and the bathroom and shower were impressively clean. However, it happened that the pool was closed for repairs during our stay, which was quite disappointing. If you like to swim, call ahead and make sure the pool is open, otherwise, a great place to stay.

Bed bugs. Will not stay at again.
We told staff about my Mother getting bites. She was a nurse for over 20 years. So she knew something was wrong. After staff changed everything, no more issues. But I do not recommend this hotel for the price?

a good overnight stay
A very nice stay, although we were only there one night. Room was clean, well furnished, well designed and quiet, which was important after being on the road for more than 14 hours. Bed comfortable and shower very nice, with a shower massage head that actually worked. We would stay here again.

Door needed work
We had a hard time getting the lock to work. It was very hard to get the door open after the green light came on, this was room #313. Other then that the room was very nice and clean.

Lou loves to travel
The hotel was ok but the location is terrible.
Nothing to do in the area and we didn't feel secure at all . . . it seemed to be in a poor area of town. Don't stay here if you don't have a car.

Too expensive for quality
It was during Sturgis bike rally so they have a right to charge something extra. However, this was the most expensive hotel we have stayed in to date and that is saying a lot. Needs some interior work in the rooms to make it worth staying.
