A convenient place to crash near town -- and do a little gaming, too
About a mile west of downtown, the renovated Days Inn West in Rapid City makes a convenient stopover for Black Hills explorers. The signature attractions of the region are an easy drive from here (Mount Rushmore National Memorial, for example, is about 30 minutes away) and numerous restaurants lie within walking distance of the lobby (choose from KFC, Millstone Family Restaurant, Golden Phoenix Chinese and more). Guests can spend their downtime unwinding by the outdoor pool (seasonal) or try their hand at Video Lottery in the on-site Sun Inn Lounge.

Good place to stay

I simply needed an overnight room with access to the airport. I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming staff and the up-kept appearance. I was in a non-smoking room that smelled of stale smoke odor.

Had to pay for airport shuttle

The shuttle fee for was $30 for 2 people. I didn't really save any money.

Go to BeauJo's Pizza. All the normal Pizza shop stuff. Plus they have... Whole wheat crusts No gluten crusts Non dairy cheeses

Review.

My cousin and I traveled to sightsee and geocache in and around the Black Hills Area. The only thing I wish they had was a washer and dryer. It was in a nice location to downtown. ANd easy to get around the wonderful city of Rapid City.

Not so quiet

The rooms were nice but lacked severly in sound proofing. We were awakened in the night by multiple door slams and activity in the halls. About 5:30 in the morning brought the garbage truck emptying the dumpster that sounded like it was just outside our window.

Fair sailing

For the most part the hotel was fine. However, there was an odor in the room that was not pleasant. The best way to describe it would be maybe someone was smoking something other than cigarettes or it was some other substance. The smoke alarm cover was hanging from the ceiling. As far as cleanliness... the sheets and towels were very clean and fresh. The breakfast bar was nice and the area was always clean. The staff in the lounge were very friendly and efficient.

Clean room, friendly staff

Nice clean room. Good location. Friendly staff. Nice & early breakfast Had a problem with the internet though
