A warm welcome (and swimming pool) just off the interstate
Located just off of Interstate 90, Country Inn and Suites By Carlson Rapid City makes a convenient stopover for Black Hills explorers. Both Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial lie within a one-hour drive, and Rushmore Mall is less than a mile away. Guests cannot help but notice the quality service here: Guest rooms are clean and well-appointed (all come with microwaves and refrigerators, for example), the staff is friendly and resourceful, and the free breakfast buffet includes warm dishes like homemade Belgian waffles and biscuits and gravy.Hotel Map

Amazing beds!
The beds were super comfortable and they did a lot of really nice things to make this a wonderful place to stay. They gave Pantene shampoo AND conditioner which I appreciated. I really liked having a fridge and a microwave in my room and the coffee they served tasted great! This is a really nice hotel and for once, it was an affordable rate for me to stay there. The only thing that was not top notch was that the fan in the bathroom wasn't working. Otherwise, I would have rated this room as perfect.

A++++ Place to stay
Great! Everyone was friendly and efficient, the room was very nice, clean and fridge and microwave available. There was coffee and cookies available in the lobby for guests. The continental breakfast was excellent, the price of the room was really good and the location was perfect, walking distance to a good restaurant, gas across the street and the mall just minutes away. Pool was clean and 2 hot tubs. We were extremely happy and will be staying at this motel whenever we are in town.

Excellent holiday stop.
You can't beat the price for this place, be it service , comfort, location, etc. Warm beverage and cookies before bed. Very nice breakfast options in the morning.

not for me
clean room, but felt outdated. Probably good for families ,but not for adults traveling alone. Took too long to get breakfast. Too many people using the one waffle iron.

Nice hotel
Hotel was nice and clean. Staff friendly. Some days breakfast area was short on some food items. Pool adequate and clean, nice water slide. Would definitely stay there again. Close to mall.

Great Stay!

Great hotel!
This is a great hotel, and we had never stayed there before, but plan to stay there next time we're in Rapid. The pool was clean and warm, and the staff were all very friendly.

Rapid City has a lot of fun and exciting things for families. During the summer, take your kids to Storybook Island. It's free and fun! Also, be sure to visit Crazy Horse Memorial. It's amazing!!
