Convenient Location to Downtown
Beth Aug 11, 2009
The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The beds were a bit too hard and the room had a musty smell which made us ... feel like the overall cost for the room was too high. The continental breakfast which is supposed to run until 10am was completely picked over by 8am.

Good location, Quiet room
Mom of Twins Jul 25, 2009
We stayed at this Best Western while passing through S. Dakota. It is an older building and you have to walk outside to get ... to the lobby, but the rooms were clean and quiet. The shower was WONDERFUL, one of the best on our trip. The only issue we had was the air conditioner was located near the bathroom and not near the bed area, so it took a little while to cool the room down. Just a short drive to Mt. Rushmore.

Excellant Hotel for any group

I visited a sick friend. While there I found out That the hotel had a Hospital rate which would have saved me $100 off my ... total bill. Considering the fact that I told the Orbitz rep that was the purpose of my last minute trip I learned my lesson about Orbitz and making Hotels reservations with you. JOhn McKenna

trip of a lifetime

Would have preferred the coffee pot to be in a different location, was mounted on wall over sink. We arrived much later than ... planned due our flight being cancelled because plane broke down, therefore we were in the farthest location from the lobby and it was quite a trek to breakfast. The location in proximity to all of our planned visits was excellent. Went to Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Wind Cave, Deadwood, Devil's Tower, and The Badlands.

Good Hotel
M Jun 3, 2009
Great location - close to all the attractions. The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The only two ... weaknesses are the layout of the room (the sink was outside of the bathroom) and the fact that you could hear your the water running whenever your neighbor was taking a shower.

Comfortable and convenient
Happy traveler May 29, 2009
We arrived late at night and tired but the desk clerk was friendly and our room was ready. It was clean, comfortable and ... quiet. The next morning the continental breakfast was super. In additional to the usual muffins and coffee, there was hot and cold cereal, waffles, fresh fruit and bagels available in a pleasant dining area. All in all, a delightful experience.

Conviently located to most tourist attractions. Staff were very helpfull. The room had everything we needed Micro, Refrig, ... Coffee Maker and WiFi. Plus a available computer and printer in the lobby. The only disappointment was the pool and hot tub was closed for the season. Overall a good value!!!

the best western was okay but we were surprised on the size of the room. when we arrived we realized that four adults would ... not be very comfortable in the room with two double beds. so we had to rent another room. coming from florida and no rental car we did not realize that we would have to climb a steep incline with our sutitcases to get to our rooms. we made a comment to the girls at the front desk but they made no attempt to give us a lower level rooms. the location was also out of the rapid city area with no access to the trolley and to far to walk to happenings in downtown. we were able to find out from locals on how to best get around.

breakfast was great
JOYCE May 26, 2008
The Bets Western Town and Country was nice. It was kinda spread all over.I mean different sections of the hotel were not all ... clumped together. Made it nice for parking and noise. I mean it was quiet and plenty of parking. The continential breakfast was great. The biscuts and gravey was exceptional, and there was plenty to go around. They were always busy putting out fruit and bread, ceral, waffles. There were quite a few different juices. Everything was clean. Plenty of silverware and plates. Did not have to wait on anything but maybe a table. The hotel was kinda on the main road to everywhere. Nice.

Vacation Friendly
Linda Sep 1, 2007
If you are looking for a place to sleep while on vacation, this was a very nice Motel. It gives you the basics, no frills, ... just a quiet, clean place to rest your head at night. If the weather was calling for high temperatures that day, the maid/s would turn up the air conditioner so your room would be cool upon your return that evening. They have a very nice restaurant in walking distance from the motel that provided all three meals. The motel was located in the center of the attractions we wanted to see; The Black Hills, The Bad Lands, Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis, etc.
