Fresh digs and hot soup in the lobby. How is that for a warm welcome?
About three blocks from Rapid City Regional Hospital and 20 minutes from Mount Rushmore, Best Western Town 'N Country caters to hospital visitors and sightseers alike. Guests can help themselves to fresh soup and cookies in the lobby every afternoon, and a number of restaurants lie within walking distance. All of the rooms underwent renovations and about half of them have outdoor balconies. Bonus: During warmer months, guests can use the outdoor pool and hot tub.BEST WESTERN Town 'N Country Rooms

You get what you paid for. Needs updating as far as the rooms go, also could use new towels - getting a little thin. Breakfast was good. Location is handy for access to Rushmore.

Just plain ugly
I travel a lot and frequently stay at Best Westerns. This hotel was very old, room was small, and the bed and pillows were VERY uncomfortable. The internet didn't work and the TV didn't get very many channels.

Good for a single person
The rooms were fine. Didnt feel quite safe as the room was on the ground floor and directly accessible by road.

Felt safe in this location
The hotel workers were very honest. I left money on the sink and Nan, the housekeeper did not take it. I felt very safe there.

Looking for a clean, quiet place to sleep close to the airport since we had a 5:30 am flight. The desk clerks were very helpful, the room was clean and quiet and we were 5 minutes from the airport.

Close to everything
We visited Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Wyoming...The motel was centrally located. The rooms were comfortable and clean. All the staff were friendly.

Convenient Location to Downtown
The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The beds were a bit too hard and the room had a musty smell which made us feel like the overall cost for the room was too high. The continental breakfast which is supposed to run until 10am was completely picked over by 8am.

Good location, Quiet room
We stayed at this Best Western while passing through S. Dakota. It is an older building and you have to walk outside to get to the lobby, but the rooms were clean and quiet. The shower was WONDERFUL, one of the best on our trip. The only issue we had was the air conditioner was located near the bathroom and not near the bed area, so it took a little while to cool the room down. Just a short drive to Mt. Rushmore.
