One of the best!
We were in Mitchell for the USBC Youth Pepsi Tournament. My daughter didn't bowl until late, so we wouldn't know if we were staying until late. At about 9pm I made my reservation on my Android phone, and in 10 minutes I checked into the hotel. Perfect way to do it! And the hotel -- it was fantastic! We have had to stay in a lot of hotels due to recurring medical problems with my wife, and this was by far the cleanest one. Not a spot to complain about -- decore was great, room was great, everything we needed. And to top it off, the staff was very, very accomidating to our needs during our stay. Overall, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Rest assured, if we have to stay in Mitchell again, we will definitely be staying at the Holiday Inn Express! Thanks!

Average hotel
This was an average hotel. The hotel features a great pool for kids, and even had a separate little wading pool for toddlers. The rooms were nice, and the huge flat-screen television was great. The room walls were a little thin though, as I could hear the person next door snoring. The bed was comfortable and had a nice comforter. I stayed over Friday-Saturday, and the continental breakfast ended at 9:30, which seemed kind of early for a weekend. Ended up having to go somewhere else for breakfast.

Great stay... No pets :(
The hotel in Mitchell was really one of many stops while driving across the US. We were tired and ready to get out of the car when we arrived. Upon arrival I was asked to sign a paper stating that if we smoked or brought pet into our room we would be fined $250.00!!! Now, we don't smoke so that wasn't a problem, but I had my cat with me and was hoping to let her roam a bit. We ended up leaving her in the car overnight. When we got up to our room, our key took five or six tries to register in the lock before it opened. Then we had a dirty pillow (with a shoe print on it). Overall I was disappointed in the stay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well (but, who wouldn't with 15 hours of driving previously). The continental breakfast wasn't the best Ive had at a Holiday Inn Express, but our bellies were full as we got back on the road.

After seeing Mt. Rushmore we traveled on through to Mitchell so we could avoid paying almost DOUBLE in hotel fees by staying in Grand Rapids.
