Great place for us to stay as a stop-over on a two day drive across country plus we did a little gambling in the casino. The ... homemade caramel cinnaman rolls at the free breakfast buffett are to die for- fresh and hot!

Nice people, poor room.

We were on vacation, for 4th July. 2nd stop after Mt. Rushmore. Room was extremely small,(no where to put even a suitcase) ... and smoker rooms close by. Staff was very good, and pizza was awesome. However we will never stay at a Super 8 again.

If your going for the gambling, don't get your hopes up, be prepared to pay to park.

It does take a rather lengthy ride on the trolley to get back from downtown Deadwood to the hotel so I recommend staying sober enough to drive.

Everything you want
Joy Dec 28, 2008
The Super 8 Motel is by far the best value for the money in Deadwood. The hotel is always clean. They have a pool and a hot ... tub. They also have a casino in the hotel. It's a great place to stay if you have children because the pool gives them something to do while you are entertaining yourself in the casino. Drinks are free when you are gambling. The staff of the hotel is very welcoming and friendly. They remember guests from previous stays. It is the best place to stay in Deadwood. We intend to visit Deadwood again while staying at the Super 8.

Nice Pool and Decent Hotel
Tade Oct 22, 2008
The Deadwood Super 8 has a great pool, a hot tub, a casino and a ok dining (pick up window). The breakfast was AWESOME! They ... had cinnamon rolls and eggs..which is much better than any other continental breakfast I usually get. The rooms are fine and the location isn't bad as you will need to drive into Deadwood or take the 1.00 trolley. Check in was good as the lady spent time talking to me about Deadwood. All in all, for the money very satisfied!

Deadwood Super 8

I really liked the location. The view was great. I was very impressed with the staff; very friendly and the room was perfect ... in every way. I plan on vacationing in South Dakota again and I would stay at the Super 8 in Deadwood again.

FRIENDLY HOTEL

The hotel was nice and clean and in a very good location for peace and quiet. I did find the room nice and clean but very ... small. The restaurant did not serve any good meals other than pizza or hamburgers. Otherwise it was nice.
