Other than the paking... pretty good

The rooms were clean, and breakfast wasn't too bad, but the parking was terrible. There is a parking lot two street lights away, or you can park across the street in a one way dirt lane. The casino seemed busy, and the hotel is in easy walking distance to the rest of the town.

Road Trip through Black Hills

We were visiting the beautiful Black Hills area. I was really impressed with the Town of Deadwood. We enjoyed walking down Mainstreet and visiting various shops, casinos and bars. The hotel casino was very convenient and fun.

Hampton Inn Deadwood at Four Aces Casino

Nice Hotel - Good Location - Central to all shops, restuarants and casino's. locations in Deadwood. My only negative comment would be that we paid a premium price - Deadwood offers a plethra of nice hotels starting at $35. per night.

Dead dirty in Deadwood

We arrived at 8 Pm and found there was no place to eat any near the hotel that would allow us to bring our 7 year old daughter. The restaurant and casino down stairs along with the hallways smelled so bad we thought about leaving but it was just one night on our way to yellowstone. The room was clean but the hotel is between two main roads with maybe 20 feet between the hotel and the road. It was very loud all night. The casino was not very good very limited on slots and table games. Very dirty sticky.

Very Nice Night, Not So Nice Morning

We arrived late so I called ahead to advise. Front desk Clerk was very friendly. Valet Parking was free and VERY CONVENIENT! Check-in was a little too quick as the clerk did not take my credit card to put on file and I had to come back down to the front desk to do it so that we could buy an in room movie. Then the TV was humming and the picture was squiggley during the movie. The rest of the night was good. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was pretty big, really clean, modern and nicely decorated. There was a desk and office chair, an arm chair, a fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was all granite and very large. Even though our room faced the main street and was on the second level directly above the entrance/valet, it was perfectly quiet all night long. However, we were awakened early by an EXTREMELY LOUD vacuum cleaner that the maid was using at 7am. Apparently, the maids clean several rooms at once step by step for all the rooms, so there was continuous vacuuming from room to room for about an hour. Then, at 10:45am I heard a knock on our door. When I answered, the maid asked me, "So did you guys get a late check-out or what?" I thought it was extremely rude.
