The Brookings Fairfield Inn & Suites is conveniently located at the intersection of Interstate 29 (Exit 132) and US Highway 14. Situated within 2 miles of South Dakota's largest university, South Dakota State University, you are close to the SD Art Museum and SD Ag Heritage Museum. Our hotel is a convenient 45 minute drive from the Sioux Falls Regional Airport. We are less than 1 mile the "prettiest 40 acres in South Dakota" in McCrory Gardens. During your visit, consider a trip to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Homestead and several annual pageants. Brookings is a quaint community of small town character, with big town aspirations - we truly are "Someplace Special". We are the proud home to the corporate headquarters of Daktronics, Larson Manufacturing and Rainbow Playsystems to mention a few. Entertainment, Parks and Recreation abound in Brookings at the Larson Ice Arena, Brookings Aquatic Center and the Swiftel Center.

Nice college town motel

Beds were comfortable, but the t.v./cable was bad. Even tho the motel was fairly busy, it was quiet EXCEPT when the shower next door came on.

Applebees was very good and the wait staff was very professional and friendly.

Ok for the traveler

The Fairfield in Brookings was Ok, but not the best place that I have stayed at for the money. The check in process was very slow, and of course it is when there is only one person to answer the phone and check you in. The phone is ALWAYS taken first, leaving you just standing there. The room and furnishings seemed cheap but it was clean. I liked the fact that it was all smoke free, but the other negatives overshadowed it for me.
