I'll never do that again
I am originally from Aberdeen but due to some unforseen things with family I was unable to stay with them. I am familair with this hotel. My brother used to work for a resteraunt that used to be in that hotel. I might have even stayed there once or twice in the past. My family owns land by Ipswich and has a lodge and is usually full around hunting season so I refer people to aberdeen to stay. I went to Thanksgiving dinner with the family and did some lite shopping on Black Friday. As far as the hotel goes, I was really disappointed with some of the things I saw. My key rarely worked. The door sometimes wouldn't lock. There were only a few people in the hotel on the first nite we stayed there, you think they would spread you out. We stayed right next door to a family with 3 children that were as noisy as ever. To be smart, I would have put at least one room between us to assure a quiet nite for both of us. The door by where I parked my car was supposed to be secure at night and wasn't. Even worse, on the first morning, after coming back after thanksgiving dinner, we came back to find our room clean, but to find a cigarette lighter laying on the dresser. This was a nonsmoking room. It was only my 8 year old daughter and myself. The manager told us later the next day the cleaning lady found it under the mattress and didnt want to take it thinking it might have been ours, when really the room had not been cleaned well enough from the last person. Yikes! Needless to say, we checked out early and stayed across the street.

As Good As Any In Aberdeen
Best value in town. Now if they would add some sausage or ham or bacon or something to the breakfast in addition to the scrambled eggs every day, and breads, cereals, waffles, it would be a major improvement and rival anything else in Aberdeen. I checked in late in the evening and was met by a very surly and discourteous woman that almost had me out of there had I not prepaid [...]. Later on a time or two I saw her and she was nicer, but the first impression was awful.

Good stay overall
Busy hotel with a good mix of guests and activities made the 4 day stay in the small town more enjoyable. Our room was smallish, but recently remodeled and well decorated. The restaurant and bar were busy and the front end was upbeat and attentive. The kitchen however made each meal an adventure. Long waits for average food, each and every meal, became annoying. Free hot buffet breakfast in the mornings was a high point, though no meat was served. Lots of other choices though. Overall, a decent stay. Would return and eat elsewhere.

Great price for friendly service
Hotel staff was friendly, it was easy to check-in because our room was prepaid, the rooms were clean and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. Also enjoyed a great meal at the hotel restaraunt - great value for some great food.

Would do it again....
We enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Inn & Convention Center in Aberdeen, SD. The wide variety of shopping and dining areas, close to the hotel, helped to make visiting with our family more enjoyable.

very quiet and comfortable. We had easy access to wherever we needed to go. The food in the restaurant was very good and priced right. I will recommend this Aberdeen Ramada to anyone traveling in that area.
