Microtel Walterboro
No iron in the room. That bed cover no one really wants to touch even if it's clean. Didn't bother with the limited breakfast items. Old TV mounted on top of the closet. My internet room rate was higher than the rate I heard direct connect customers getting quoted. Digitized air conditioning unit but I don't think it's calibrated to a thermometer in the room as I had to set it all the way down to 65 to get the cold air to kick in. Front desk staff was friendly and there were fresh baked cookies at check-in but those 2 things can't overcome my extreme disappointment in my stay.

Nice place for a quick overnight stay.
The staff was friendly and helpful...the lobby and rooms were clean and comfortable and the standard breakfast was basic but fine. They could use a little counter space in the bathroom and the full wall mirror in the room was a little strange...but we spent a quiet comfortable night there...

decent room
fairly nice room for the 2 stars, not the best price but within the market range. my room seemed fairly new and everything worked well. plenty of towels in the bathroom. located nicely right off 95. one negative - there were no drinking cups in my room. I thought I read that the room had a micro and a fridge but it had neither. if they are important to you check before booking.

be careful - I found a speed trap on 95 fairly close to where I got on the highway heading south. stopped me for doing 80 in a 70 zone but got off with a warning.

Clean, comfortable and good value
Just off the freeway, clean, comfortable, and a good value if you are just looking for a good nights sleep. Staff of one was polite. Breakfast coffee was American black water -- about equal to their competition.

PACKRAT
Unbeatable price and close to I-95
We stayed 2 nights here. The room was very clean and the desk clerks were very, very nice when called upon for directions, places to eat, etc. From here we traveled to Charleston, Ladson and Cottageville for antiquing, flea markets and auctions. We will definitely stay here again. Oh, and it is pet friendly, which is definitely a plus.

Big Daddy Walker
Excellent Walterboro hotel experience
My wife's 97 year old father died and we were in Walterboro for his funeral. I located the Microtel Hotel on the internet [...] The reviews that I read were good and the cost was reasonable since I paid for my daughter's room as well as ours. We were greeted warmly from the attendant and the room was nice and cool. We had 2 queen beds in the room, plenty of space for suitcases and hanging clothes. The morning breakfasts were adequate. Grits would have been even better. The waffles were quite good. My grand sons really enjoyed the swimming pool. We will be returning to Walterboro on family business and will most likely state at this hotel again. THANKS !

Microtel Walterboro good value.
Just used this for overnite pit stop on way to Fla. Good price, queen bed was comfortable, HVAC was digital & worked well. Lots of hot water. Free breakfast was OK; fruit / hot walfals/ cereal or pasty but no eggs / bacon. Close to Ruby Tues. & Cracker Barrel is across the street.
