Nice hotel but its not in "Myrtle beach"
My friend and I chose this hotel because its name has a good reputation and it was very close to the beach with a great price. However, after staying there we realized it is pretty nice and the beach is literally in your backyard. However, neither of us had a car or able to rent a car since only 24, and since the hotel is not in "Myrtle beach" cab fare was expensive to travel back and forth. If your just looking for a family or relaxing getaway it is great for that. If your looking for shopping and/or nightlife it is better to have transportation or will be paying cab fare on average $30 a trip :(

Pet friendly on the beach
Staff was very helpful. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. It was vert quiet and peacefull. Would stay there again and recommend it to others. Also very doggy friendly and lots of places to walk.

Took advantage of key card Divine restaurants for a 10% discount. All very nice and good food restaurants.

Cold soaker
excellent service, great people
The hotel staff was VERY friendly and polite and helpful. The room was clean, and just as described - no "let down syndrome" when I walked through the door. Easy elevator ride to the pool/hot tub/beach. Very nice

Visit Ripley's aquarium. My family of four admission was about $70, but indeed it was very cool. Also located on the Boardwalk on Broadway - another great place to spend a few hours shopping/eating/having fun with the kids. take the time and go.

Classy but not arogant traveler
Only Good
Excellent all around experience. Hotel staff were very customer service oriented and friendly. Hotel location was great for those loving the peacefulness of the south end. We traveled as a couple but the location would also have been perfect for families with any aged children. Beach access was quick and simple. We occupied an ocean front room with a balcony. The only drawback we observed was the privacy walls between balconies did not extend all the way from the wall to the safety rail leaving visible access to all your neighbors balconies. Would be great for groups with multiple rooms but did tend to take away from the romance of the moment if you wanted total privacy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and I plan to stay there again in the future.

Away but not too far away....
We liked the location of the hotel because it was close to Garden City, but not in the middle of the action. We loved the easy access to the ocean and the DJ on Friday afternoon.

It's all good
Everything about this place is great. From friendly staff to location. For those wanting to relax, you're right on the beach, or the pool is clean and staff friendly, and all the guests made you feel welcome. Just a overall great place to stay.

Relaxed and Refreshed
Great location Beautiful beach
We stayed at hotel from Thursday to Sunday on a holiday weekend. On Sunday we checked out because we had made a made a previous reservation at Myrtle Beach. We lasted 1 night. We checked out of that hotel and returned to Surfside Holiday for our remaining time. There were less people on beach and a great pool area. We did go back to Myrtle many times to enjoy activities but returned to our great hotel. Restaurant service and food was excellent. Planning to go back next year!
