Spartanburg Marriott

We were passing through on our way to Asheville, NC and got tired so we used the iphone app to find the hotel. I thought the price was great so we booked it 30 minutes before we arrived. The only cons were the hotel has a little trouble finding reservation that are booked that close to checking in from the app and when we decided to stay a second night we had to either rebook through here or start a new card swipe at the front desk. Not a big deal. Also, I was surprised that the hotel rate was the same rate here. I will stay at this hotel again!!! I enjoyed it.....

Shower curtain was moldy, room service was slow and my order was wrong for my dinner, room key needed to be replaced, only one regular coffee pod in the room upon check in......I did not have a good experience to warrant the extra expense of staying there versus other hotels in the area.

I was having a breakfast meeting with a potential client at the hotel restaurant. The room was nice, comfortable and clean. The service was friendly and the food was good.

The hotel is centrally located in downtown Spartanburg. It was convenient to shops, restaurants and churches. We stayed at this hotel because it was only about 10 minutes away from my husband's family home where the Christmas family dinner was held. We arrived on Christmas Eve and the hotel was operating on a skeleton staff, but the staff was so efficient and ready to assist in any way they could. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was fairly large to my surprise. I recommend Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park, and definitely will return to this hotel in the future visits.

The hotel seemed displaced. When I looked out my window......I saw a funeral parlor and hurst. Also, I was given a handicap room? The hotel was not filled and I was too tired to go down and ask for another room. Why would you give someone a handicap room when they do not ask for one??

Have stayed at this property numberous times and have always been very pleased. It is a four star hotel in all respects- apperance, staff, quality of service and rooms--beds very comfortable. Its hard to believe that a Marriott property still charges for internet, however parking is free here which more than offsets internet charges. I plan to return here wihout second thought next time in Spartanburg.

I was not very happy when I was told, after booking with [...], that I could get a 40 dollar discount due to the business I was visiting. The staff said that since I had already paid them through [...], I wasn't entitled to it.... I think that it was very unfair, and I was taken advantage of because I used an outside purchasing agent.

Have stayed at this property numerous times in the past few years. It is truly a four star hotel in every respect. Hotel employees at every level are extremely friendly and helpful. Free parking is a benefit not found at many smiliar type properties. Located in middle of downtown is also a plus. This hotel will continue to be my first choice when staying in Spartanburg.

The hotel was very nice. There were those who were up at 6:30am and thought everyone on the hall wanted to hear they're conversation.

On check in at 8 pm we found the toilet not working, bare minimum towels and the TV would not turn off. Instead of changing our rooms, they sent an "engineer", a young Hispanic gentleman" who took 2 1/2 hours to change the flow valve in the toilet tank and we had to wait until after 10:30 for any privacy and rest. We founf the towels we requested piled on the bed and the new remote worked worse than the other. Then on check out the front desk people could not figure out what to do, so we just left in frustration.
