Nice and clean with very comfy beds

The hotel was close to Interstate 85 and was convenient to my daughter's house in Spartanburg and my Dad's home in N. C. The room was large, clean and had very comfortable beds and pillows which is a must for me. The selections, at the breakfast bar, were great and delicious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the ice machine on our floor was broken and we had to get it from other floors. It would have been nice to have a fridge and microwave, like we normally have in a room, but we managed ok with our cooler. There are several fast food restaurants and service stations, with snacks, within walking distance.

Hotel Review

We stayed for two nights, check-in was a breeze, the hotel was very clean, the two things we loved the best were the comfort of the bed, (the pillows are the BEST),and the breakfast buffet. Very nice.

Clean and comfy :)

This was a three-day trip for a family reunion and visit to the mountains...Hotel was AWESOME. Fresh linens, clean room, super comfy bed. Loved the free breakfast in the morning and baked daily cookies at night. It definitely gave it more of a B&B feel rather than a standardized hotel. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. One night, there was a large group of baseball players and those evening cookies didn't stand a chance. After seeing the faces of my girls, she said there would be more cookies tomorrow, but in the mean time they could enjoy these: a goodie bag with bottled water, Pack of Oreos, and a few thin mints. Wow! My girls were very excited. It just took a moment of her time to make my kids' night! Really, the only down side was that the housekeeping staff did not speak too much English so it was hard to communicate. Other than that, it was great! We would definitely stay there again.

Arby's is basically in the front of the hotel, so without crossing a street, you can walk a few steps and enjoy a Jamocha shake!

Good as home!!

There were 27 to 30 family members there for a family reunion in Chesnee, SC. We had a great time visiting in the lobby/breakfast area in the morning and the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful and enjoyed by all of us. The location was perfect for us as well. A couple of years ago we were at the Hampton in Gaffney but this worked better for us price wise and location for restaurants. We were all pleased.

Just being close to Spartanburg was very helpful as well as to I26 and Greenville. It was only 11 miles to our families home in Chesnee as well. Just a great time had by all.

Excellent choice

My daughter and I were in Spartanburg for a college visit/apt hunting trip. The location, right off I-85 and close to Business 85 was ideal. The soft beds and spotless room were nice to return to at the end of the day. The front desk staff were friendly and quite helpful. But perhaps the nicest surprise was the excellent breakfast---hot, plentiful with a nice selection of food--even when we didn't make it there until 9:30 one morning. Highly recomend this Hampton Inn.

Internet problems

I could not send out emails from Outlook Express. You could receive, but not send. There was a help card on the desk in the room for assistance. I called it several times only to find out that they no longer service that hotel. Then, when I got to their new provider, I spent a couple hours on the phone try to use the outbound server address they gave me that didn't work. Hamton Inns sign says, we'll make it right or your stay is free. They offered nothing and I depend on my compter for business.
