Not a bad stay
The hotel was in a good location, close to shopping in Spartinburg and Gaffney. Room was neat some miscommunication left me with an unmade bed, but overall for a last minute stay it was well worth it.

A really nice Denny's diner was right next door, other places to eat a short drive down the road.

unpleasant experience
We just needed a place to stop and sleep a few hours while traveling so we picked one of the cheapest places we could find. We ended up here and we were sent to 3 different rooms until we finally got one that housekeeping had cleaned. There were dirty towels thrown all over the first 2 rooms and blankets and pillows in piles on the beds, so obviously they hadnt been cleaned. The 3rd room was good enough, but I still took all the blankets off the bed because it looked like someone had rolled around in the beds before we got there. After all of that I was then charged an extra $90. I had already paid online and they still swiped my card once we got there and charged me again, so now I'm waiting on a refund to be credited back to my account. Needless to say we dont plan on returning.

Our check-in was fast and easy. The room was clean and the entire hotel was smoke-free. The wireless worked well in the room and the continental breakfast was adequate. The hotel was right off the interstate and travel to downtown was only 10 mins. We had one major problem and that is that an article was stolen from the room. The staff and management were helpful about checking with the cleaning staff and when that did not turn up the item the manager was helpful with how to contact the police and file a report. Still that clearly puts our overall satisfaction with our stay quite a bit lower.

Unfriendly Hotel Clerks
When I arrived at the Best Wetern, the check in was good and the room was clean, but the room was difficult to find because it did not have a room number on it, I had to figure out what room was mine. There were tiny ants in the room. Upon departing, the hotel staff did not ask how was your stay and we did not receive a receipt. The Front Desk Clerk was not very helpful or friendly. Could not call down to the front desk, the phone had a busy signal.

Easy Stay
We liked the Best Western, recently renovated, looked brand new, clean and the staff were eager to please and friendly. The location is right on the interstate which was a plus for us.
