In town for the weekend
I was in town for a wedding in Charlotte, but to save money I wanted to stay in Rock Hill. The hotel I normally stay at in Rock Hill was booked, so I decided to try this one. Location is good; right off I-77, directly behind Outback Steakhouse and across the street from Starbucks. There are many restaurants nearby, it is close to Winthrop, and just a short drive to Charlotte. Hotel staff honestly could not have been more helpful and friendly from the moment I arrived. The Bistro in the lobby is decent, but slow service. It is open all day until 10 PM serving coffee, food, and alcoholic drinks. The hotel room is spacious, good size TV, love the King bed, and most importantly it was CLEAN. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness, and I'm not easy to please. The only faults I could find about this hotel are: the lack of free continental breakfast (but they do have the Bistro), pillows were too soft for my liking (I'm nitpicking), and it sounded like a herd of elephants was running around in the room above me (which is really the fault of the guests and not the hotel). Overall, I was extremely pleased with this hotel and I thought it was good value. I have a new go-to hotel in Rock Hill, and it's this one.

This was a great hotel. I always expect quality when I stay at a Marriott property, and this courtyard does not disappoint.

good stuff, just don't bother with the cafe
nice hotel, excellent staff, however had dinner in the cafe and waited over an hour for a salad and chicken, pretty frustrated we complained and they did give us free drink as well as a free pepsi the next morning so they tried, but definitely not worth the wait. breakfast buffet was OK .

Overall good stay
The bistro area was nice, and the food very good. Small indoor pool, but the kids loved it. The staff was friendly. The airconditioner in the room was noisey, and when we turned it off we got the interstate noise. Would recommend asking for the noninterstate side of the hotel. For what they advertise, pretty much deliver. I wish the bed was a little better, but it was not that bad.

Nice stay
We visited family and stayed in Rock Hill only one night, but the stay was enjoyable and the hotel was perfect for a short trip. Accommodations were clean, staff was friendly, and there was no hassle checking in or out. Overall a good experience!

A little misrepresented, but not bad.
We went there to get away for Valentine's Day. Our main attraction was their hot tub and pool, and that it's a Marriott, which are usually great. When we got inside, it was immediately apparent that the hotel was under renovations. Not a big deal. We were a bit hesitant to get into the hot tub and pool, because they looked so dirty. They probably weren't as dirty as they looked...maybe just stained from the years. Nonetheless, we hesitated. Once we got into the hot tub, we quickly realized that it was way too hot...we love hot tubs, but this was almost unbearable! Our room was very nice, however. It was clean, roomy, the furniture was nice...we liked it. Our reservation did state, however, that our room would have a large flat panel LCD TV in it. It didn't. It was a medium sized old CRT TV. I called to inquire, but they simply said, "Oh yeah... we don't have the LCDs yet. That's coming with the renovations." They didn't apologize or offer anything. Not the friendliest. Also when we got there, all the ice machines were out-of-order. The fixed one of them by later that evening. All in all, we had a good time, but I wouldn't go back unless they addressed the pools. The rest, I'm sure, will be resolved with the renovations.
