North Myrtle Beach hotel with lazy river and waterslide
Up-to-date furnishings and that perennial kids' favorite -- a lazy river -- make a strong case for booking the WyndhamVR Towers on the Grove at pristine Cherry Grove beach. In fact, guests compare this property with a high rise in South Beach. Inside, look for touches like stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and "grown-up" furniture like leather sofas and tufted headboards. But this is still Myrtle Beach, which means access to family-friendly attractions like the NASCAR Speedway and Grand Strand are never too far away.

Great Hotel and Value Just A Little Far Away
Hotel was excellent, it's just a little far away from many of the other hotels, which means you can't really walk to any of the restaurants/bars. We took a cab most days which ran about $12 one way. Otherwise the walk is about 30 mins, which isn't horrible, but not exactly ideal either, especially since there's nothing but houses over that 2 mile stretch.

3 Day Stay
This is our second stay at Wyndham Towers on the Grove and we will continue to stay there on our many returns to N. Myrtle Beach. It is close to Cherry Grove so you are out of the 'chaos' of central Myrtle Beach, but still close to everything where you don't feel too far out. The hotel is very well kept, the pools are heated and the beach is clean. No complaints!

Short drive from hotel
If you go to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, go before 5 o'clock...it may seem early for dinner, but you will still have a slight wait, but no where near the 2-3 hour wait between 5:30-7.

The strip is about 20 minutes from the hotel. So if you want nightlife entertainment you Have to drive to it.

Family Getaway
This hotel was wonderful. It exceeded my expectations. The staff was wonderful. It was very clean, with everything you needed. I plan on using Wyndham again.

Fantastic
The room was clean, updated, and had a fantastic view. The bedding was so comfortable I didn't want to get up! There were two pools, one was under consturction but when it is done will have a great kids area. The lazy river was neat too! Staff was friendly. The hallways were clean, warm, and nicely lit. Oh, washer and dryer in the room was an additional treat!

Go to The Alabama Theater to see the show One!! The outlet mall was also a great place to go.

Could have done without.....
We were very disappointed in the pool area. Every day people came down before 8am to put their towels out and then leave. We were not able to sit in a chair at the pool the entire time there. We talked to the security guard there and he said they do not start their shifts until 3pm. Also, it was difficult to find the check-in. We parked in the parking deck on floor 6, had to take an elevator down, cross the street, wait several minutes to get on another elevator to take to the 3rd floor which was not marked for check-in. During check-in we find out that our "one bedroom" is actually a studio. Not happy.

Great Place
We had a mixup with the room type. The management went out of their way to help us. I can't say enough about the Assistant Manager's attitude and energy for our situation. I highly recommend staying here. Convenient and comfortable.
