Holden Beach Bums
Quick Over Nighter
We were heading to NC Beaches from Atlanta. Supposed to leave on Saturday morning, but decided at the last minute on Friday to leave right THEN and head for N. Myrtle. Contacted Super 8 Staff to make them aware that we'd be checking in around midnight or later. They were more than accomodating and we got checked in & settled by 1am (after leaving Atlanta at 5:45 pm). This place is located on the main drag in N. Myrtle and is very close to Barefoot Landing. Lots of food, shops etc, including Huddle House in the same parking lot as the hotel. Only problem was the bathroom was a total mess. Hair on the floor from prior visitors, busted shower curtain rod, and the last time the shower saw any bleach was the late 1990's. Toilet clogged with little to no "work to do" (if you will). Bathroom pretty much ruined what would have been an otherwise worthwhile stay (for a great price, BTW). Too bad we checked in so late, otherwise we could have had front office take care of the bathroom...

Inexpensive, Relaxing and Very enjoyable
I must admit I did not know what to expect when I arrived, but to my surprise very nice and clean. The front desk staff was very professional. I got lost trying to locate the site and called 3801 Hwy 17 South Super 8 North Myrtle Beach/Barefoot Landing Area and this individual directed me to the location. The room was great, the only complaint was the carpet needed to be cleaned!! My daughter wanted to go straight to the pool,which was very clean and relaxing. Also,the beach was only about five minutes from the North Myrtle Beach... We will be back!! Thanks so much for the enjoyable stay at this location..

Myrtle Beach Trip - July 1st and 2nd 201
[...] The hotel was the "Super 8" hotel, which was "AUWFUL". It Must have been a "ONE" star hotel, but we were led to believe [...] that it had a higher rating. The hotel was "PET" friendly, and we "Specifically" requested a hotel that was "NOT" pet friendly. It was A "Terrible" experience at the 2nd hotel. The "First" night of our stay at the "first" hotel was very satisfactory. "High Quality" hotel. [...]
